Welcome to Island View Lakehouse!

Located on McDonald Lake in Dent, MN.

This newly renovated fully furnished year-round lake house features a large deck overlooking an island. Outdoor seating for 8, plus an outdoor sectional and a chair around a fire table. Adirondack chairs surround the firepit on the shoreline. A canoe and kayaks are for guest use and included with your stay. As well as life jackets. There is an outdoor gas grill and Blackstone. Pets are allowed with a pet fee.

Living Space: Your jaw will drop as you walk in and see the floor-to-ceiling rock woodburning fireplace. This entire space is brand new, with the greatest furnishings and décor. Walk into the upper loft with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a lounging space. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers. 3 bedrooms have queen beds, and 1 bedroom has a king bed. The main living room has new furnishings and a wet bar, with a beverage fridge, Nespresso maker & Keurig. Down the hall are another two bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen is right off the living area. You will be in awe of the lighting, tile, furnishings, and the windows facing the lake.

Everything was great besides a little low water pressure. The place was beautiful and had some very cozy nooks for when people just wanted to relax. Would book again.

Fun Little Place!

This was a gorgeous property not too far outside of town. Everything was updated and cozy. We had an absolute blast!

Relaxing at the Lake

We stayed here for a girl’s trip for some lake time. It was beautiful and comfortable. It is not close to much, but within a short drive to pretty much anything you’d need…and we were there to just chill on the water. Very much enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Winter Getaway!

We went here for a girls weekend in the winter and it was exactly what we needed. Perfect space for us. We found some cute shops nearby in Perham, but enjoyed most of our time at the cabin. Kitchen was well stocked and the shared living space by the fireplace was perfect for us. Very clean. We had a pretty big snowfall while there and they were very prompt in plowing and shoveling for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come back again!

We had a great stay at this rental. While the outside of the home needs some TLC, the inside was great. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary cooking supplies and spices. They provided food storage containers, extra paper towels & toilet paper, laundry soap, and two coffee stations with lots of coffee pods. The couches and kitchen chairs were comfortable along with the beds. The house also had cool items like a touch and motion activated kitchen faucet, cool ceiling fans in the living room and all the bedrooms and bathroom ceiling fans with a nightlight and Bluetooth speakers built in. The Blackstone and gas grill were also nice. The home had a pretty view of the lake and the fishing was good during out stay. We would stay again.

It was a treat to have the house decorated for Christmas. The shoveling service was a delightful surprise. The house was clean but some details like the fans and back of the TV’s need some attention.

Comfortable and welcoming

This home is beautifully redone and made us feel welcome and relaxed immediately. It was sub zero weather and windy so the temp in the house areas fluctuated a bit! And just so you know if you go and use the fireplace, the damper handle us up inside The chimney not the knob on the outside part! I bet summers are wonderful here!

Nice older home with heavy remodeling.

We thought the home was nice but definitely lots of finishing work to do. When we read "NEW" on the VRBI listing we thought it was actually a new build. The posting does not show the outside so we were very surprised when we arrived to see a older cabin.

Mid February Stay

My wife, dog and I enjoyed a mid winter getaway. We went and explored the small towns, restaurants and bars in the area during the day and came back every evening and enjoyed some movies by the fire. We definitely will come back again when it is warmer and we can enjoy the lake. I would highly recommend it for a family or group of people as the house is set up perfectly for a larger group of people. The remodeling that was done is very nice. Also make sure you reserve at least one evening to have dinner at Spanky’s… you will thank me for the recommendation.

Great stay

This was a great property. One of the best VRBO'S we have stayed at. The decor and the attention to detail was great. We liked the individual climate control in each room. I only have two recommendations Wine glasses to be provided and maybe a few hooks on the wall in each bedroom. The only negative comment I have would be that of the cleaners showed up before we checked out. They showed up at 9:45 and sat in the driveway while we were packing up to leave. Actually, the car was packed and we were out for a walk when they came. We are people that would be diligent about leaving at exactly 10:00 as that is when check out time is and we want to enjoy our property completely. We felt extremely rushed, and that put a sour taste at the end of the trip. A recommendation would be that the cleaners make sure the guests are vacated.
