The house was nice on the inside. The fence and gate has a lot of holes in it. The neighborhood is the best area.

Great place to stay!

This was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay with our four legged furbabies. We really enjoyed the back patio and were very grateful for how clean and inviting the home was. Our hosts were very gracious and accommodating to our needs. Since we have family in the area, we hope to stay there again!

A place was clean. David was great at communicating. I’m pretty centrally located. I recommend this place If you’re staying in the Gainesville area.

Peaceful hideout while visiting family

Title says it all. We needed a place last minute in the area and couldn't find boarding/sitter for our dogs.

Good for a short stay

- communication with David (the host) was excellent - beds were great - had a good night sleep. - the house has everything, and the little touches such as coffee was great. - location was so, so, but this was OK, as our goal was to visit our son that goes to UF and visit the campus. What can be better? - some of the furniture is outdated - the place is clean at the surface, however it does need a good scrub I would recommend the place for a short stay.

When we checked in, we were greeted by 2 roaches. The patio door was slightly open. The placed looked clean but it really needs a deep clean. Beds were comfortable. The pots and pans in the kitchen were a mess. I messaged the owner about these issues 2 times, and all I got were automated responses saying “Hope you have a great stay. Message me if you need anything.” One of the automated responses from the owner asked if I was interested in buying property in the area and that he could help me since he’s a realtor. That message came in while I was trying to contact him to ask for more towels and big spray. Overall the place provided what my family needed, which was a pet friendly place for us to stay, but it wasn’t what we were expecting or what the listing had promised.

Comfortable, clean, well stocked Gainesville Getaway

We stayed a week at this lovely and clean 2 bedroom duplex. David was very communicative and made sure everything was nice for us. They even left a lovely bottle of wine to welcome us for our stay. There's a king bed in one room, and two queens (I think) in the other. There's also a pullout sofa. Washer/dryer is in the home for convenience if you are staying a long time. Great wifi. I worked throughout the week without issue. Parking is directly in front of the home with enough space for 2 vehicles. We found the kitchen well stocked (coffee, tea, spices) and David even delivered new drinking glasses when he found out we were short! That's service. Our pets were very comfy and enjoyed the trip as much as we did. We will stay here again when we return to the Gainesville area. Thank you, David. It was a pleasure!

Baseball weekend

My wife, daughter, and dogs came down Saturday for a quick 2-day baseball weekend, with the first game originally scheduled for 6:30. But due to weather it got moved up to 1. Although normal check-in wasn’t until 3, David the property owner facilitated an early check-in so we could make the game. He was simply awesome for making it happen and we were greatly appreciative. Oh and kudos to the cleaning crew too - they were super sweet! The home itself served all of our needs and was convenient to everything in town. The only caveat is the neighborhood itself is a bit of a fixer upper and I’m not sure the best for kids. But David can’t change that and did everything he could with the property and accommodating our trip one could ask for. Again, thank you so much!

We booked this property as a place to stay while visiting our daughter at UF for Parents' Weekend. While I can appreciate the owners' good intent (there was a nice notebook with lots of details and a bottle of wine on the counter), this was unfortunately a sub-par property on a terrible street. It seemed clean on the surface but was very dingy overall - the bathroom needs to be remodeled and painted, the furniture was sparse, my son spotted dog fur on the pillows (we did not bring pets), the sheets were polyester / microfiber, and the scent from the Glade plug-ins was overwhelming, permeating our clothes and luggage. We had no alternative but to stay, but this property is not one to which we would ever return. It was a solid 15-20 minute drive to UF. I appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit of the owners - this is my first negative VRBO review and I am only leaving it so that other families such as ours have a more accurate idea of the property before they book.
