The Country Room at The Ranch at Walston Springs; Breakfast Included

The Ranch at Walston Springs is a unique and rustic retreat located just 3 miles south of Palestine, TX. Relax and unwind with the peace and quiet of the country.

We are not the usual Bed and Breakfast in a Victorian Home. The Dogtrot House gives you the feel of a rustic cabin retreat with the charm of a B&B stay.

The Country Room is room is quaint and rustic, decorated with antiques in a vintage and primitive style. Most of our guests comment how this room just makes them feel so welcome and at home, just like visitin’ Grandma’s Place.

The Country Room offers a Queen size and a Full size bed; it can accommodate 4 guests. It has a small dining area, individually controlled air conditioning/heating, satellite television and free WIFI.

The full private bath has a clawfoot bathtub with shower; guest amenities include all linens, hair dryer, and our hand crafted soaps, shampoo, and lotions (made right here at The Ranch at Walston Springs).

All guests share the common areas of The Dogtrot House which include the breezeway, front/back porches, garden area and The Pantry.

The Pantry is the kitchenette located in the breezeway. It has a refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig Coffee (coffee pods and condiments are provided) maker for our guests to use. Other shared amenities include grill with picnic area and firepit.

Our delicious home cooked breakfast is included with your stay.

Don’t forget your fishing gear! You are welcome to enjoy our 1 acre, private spring fed spring lake. No license required

Love this place!

This was our second visit and we loved it as much as the first time. Friendly welcome, clean room and delicious breakfast. Sitting on the front porch swing sipping our coffee, admiring the trees was lovely. We will definitely visit again.

The Ranch At Walston Springs

Beautiful place to stay. It was quiet, secluded, and the hosts were very cordial, helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate every need. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful. Will definitely make a return visit. Highly recommend this venue!!

Family trip

My wife, 4 year old and I stayed here for a night so we could go to the Polar Express. It’s well worth staying here, they really made us feel like we were family. I appreciate how they were and will definitely be back. Thank you again for the great trip

Wonderful Getaway

Needed some time away from the chaotic city life and found The Ranch at Walston Springs. So glad I did! Peace, quiet, and calm; not to forget the best B&B breakfast ever. Will definitely return and next time, stay longer.

Amazing room and wonderful service!

My daughter and I visited Palestine for the Polar Express train ride. The dog trot home was so rustic and cool. I loved the breezeway and wished we had the opportunity to meet other guests. We had the place to ourself which had its perks too! The owners were so kind and accommodating. Amanda made me the best gluten free waffles of my life (I took the leftovers home)! Paul helped with the lock on our door which made us feel so at ease and safe! Don’t keep searching. Book this place! I can’t wait to return.

Dream come true!

My daughter is an author of historical fiction and I'm a photographer/jewelry designer. We do a lot of history research and have toured many dogtrot cabins like the one at The Ranch at Walston Springs. We always say, "would love to spend the night here." Well, it happened. Our stay and host were delightful. They are detail people, striving to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I've been telling everyone about them!
