Santiago a "go go":

Hector not only received me but showed me around the neighborhood taking me thru the conveniently located metro, recommended restaurants and was patient as I learned how to open the (sticky) lock on the door. The pleasant gentlemen's greetings at the front desk (security) were always a nice way to start & end the day. Pool on top of building is nice after a long day "touristing" ; light breeze in January was a perfect balance to the sun. I was not able to connect on the wi-fi but I am thinking it was more my AT&T interface that was the barrier (worth noting if you count on wi-fi). My own "hot spot" was spotty at best, but was better after 5pm and on weekends (after business hrs). The individually wrapped soap was nice; I would suggest face cloths and perhaps small bottles of shampoo & conditioner as well as salt and pepper as an added indulgence for short term guests.

Perfect Location

I had a great stay at this location. This property is in a very safe place with easy access to all essentials including the metro. The building is well run and there is always a doorman on duty. Everything I needed was provided and the owner is very attentive and responsive!

Good location, smaller than expected

The aprtment was very new, all features as advertised, although it felt cramped. Wi Fi excellent. Kitchen well equipped, except there was no toaster, instead there was a square grill plate in the oven to toast bread on the gas stove. Kitchen opens to living room, also tiny, they need a table, only had a small foot stool aka ottoman. TV had limited channels, only local ie spanish. Bed is K/S and very comfortable. Lots of electrical plugs, came in handy. Bathroom clean and new, great shower water pressure and hot temperature, sink is very small and hardly any counter space, washer/dryer combo also in bathroom, all instructuctions spanish only. Dont bother paying for airport pickup, is more expensive than a cab and the driver accelerates/decelerates like F1...we both got nauseous, does not speak english. We were met by a landlady on arrival, to show us the apartment, she also did not speak any english. It was fine, just so anyone renting knows what the deal is.

Terrific apartment and service

We booked this apartment after arranging a tour of Santiago with the owner. It was a perfect choice for us - traveling with one older teenage son. The location is close to the metro (easy to navigate), restaurants and theater. The apartment is spotless with all the conveniences you need for your stay. The beds are super comfortable and the entire apartment is just as nice the pictures show, with a view of the city too! Another plus was working with the owner, who speaks English and as a tour guide is a great person to work with, for a stay in Santiago or visiting the area.

Great spot to relax and investigate Santiago

I recently spent several days in Santiago, lodging in Hector's one bedroom paratment. It is pleasant, cozy, comfortable, quiet and well located. Wonderful restaurants dot the area. There is easy access to theaters, subway, parks and taxis. I recommend Hector's airport transfer as well as his apartment.
