This review is extremely misleading and contains false claims. First, the allegation of bedbugs is simply not true. The guest checked out on April 7, and we immediately scheduled a full professional inspection on April 8, which found no evidence of bedbugs anywhere in the home. We can provide the official inspection report upon request. The “report” the guest is referencing does not confirm bedbugs—it only mentions a general insect bite, which is very different. Presenting that as bedbugs is inaccurate and misleading. It’s also important to note that the guest began requesting a refund immediately after checkout. These accusations were raised only after that request, which speaks for itself. Since this stay, we have hosted multiple groups and not a single guest has reported any issue, further confirming there was never a bedbug problem. Regarding the grill, it was operational and requires a simple ignition step. Had the guest contacted us during the stay—as we encourage—we would have resolved it immediately. Regardless, we replaced the grill after their departure to avoid any confusion for future guests. As for the fire pit, propane levels can vary with usage, and again, we are always available to address this instantly if notified during the stay. The mention of snakes is also misleading. This is Florida, where occasional wildlife is normal. We would have handled the situation promptly if contacted. Instead, the guest chose to kill a snake on the property, which is unnecessary and may be illegal. We take all concerns seriously and act quickly when informed. In this case, no issues were reported during the stay, and the claims were raised only afterward alongside a request for compensation. We stand by the condition of our home and the independent inspection confirming there were no bedbugs whatsoever. Any guest is welcome to request documentation directly from us.
