We're uncertain about the source of any odor you detected, as this has not been reported by other guests. We would have been happy to provide alternative linens immediately if you had contacted us during your stay so we could address it in real-time. We understand the alley entrance may feel unusual, but it’s a secure, standard entry used by all residents. Regarding early check-in, it was approved and made available as soon as the unit was ready. Hi Robin! Thank you for providing your feedback! This place is indeed a lockbox check-in, with the lockbox mounted on the side of the building per building management. The area is safe and we provide detailed retrieval instructions. Our team is available online 24/7 to answer any questions as well. The amenities are shared between two sister buildings. The apartment is exactly as advertised, from the furniture and TV to the views. Our fees, policies, and booking process are outlined in the listing prior to booking as well. We would be happy to host you again, perhaps in the sister building next time!
