Looking for a peaceful place to bring family or friends? Check out our house on Lake Santeetlah in Western North Carolina, a quiet place to relax and enjoy yourself. Close to the tail of the dragon, beautiful Mountain and Lake views. Robbinsville, is a very small community, there is one grocery store, 3 gas stations, a couple of local restaurants, a McDonalds, Wendys and Rogers Pineapple Whip. The county is a dry county, you can purchase beer and wine at the grocery store. And a local bee keeping company sells brewed Meade. The closest Walmart is in Murphy NC.

We enjoyed our stay. Peaceful neighborhood, clean accommodations. The only down side was no soap or shampoo for showers and the owners require taking garbage to an off site location.

The house was nice however the water is to shallow at the dock to swim. There was a big wasp nest on the back deck that made using it impossible, there is a little paddle boat but its sunken which is a shame. Overall its a nice house we did have some issues with the internet but the owner said he is working to resolve it.There is a few cameras on site which i have never seen at a rental home before.

Check in was easy. The host allowed for an early check in (and out!!!) which we were extremely grateful for. The house itself is very spacious which we loved! There were lots of cobwebs and we had an issue with aunts (which the host did offer to help with), but that's to be expected in the moutains. Overall though, the place was clean and ready for us. Big downfall for us was not having wifi. We still had to work while on vacation and had to go into town in order to get wifi. The host did have someone come look at it, but not till our second to last day there. It worked better after that, but still not the best (again though, you're in the moutains). The host was very responsive as well. Very kind and helpful. Definetly would stay again.

Annual Tail of the Dragon motorcycle trip

House was in a great location and easily accessible. Driveway was manageable for out 2 bike trailer, would be challenging for a larger trailer. Carport was great for keeping the bikes dry.Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful House on a Quiet Lake

Check in was super easy. Communication with the host was excellent. We had a wonderful time. We just wanted a quiet getaway and we booked this house for that reason. We also wanted something on a lake so my son could fish, which he was able to do. There are also campsites and fishing spots up the road on the beautiful lake. The house was clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. My favorite part was the collection of board games and books, as well as the balcony overlooking the backyard/dock. Overall, it was a great stay and we may come back in the summer!

Very relaxing

A big thanks to Bobbi and Barry for this gem. We really enjoyed our time on NC and having their cabin as our base made it even better. Would absolutely recommend this property to friends and family! Deric and Dana Craig and family.

Family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a very nice house. Tke kids enjoyed the kiacks and the lake was beatiful. It is close enough to Gatlinburg to visit ,but far enough away to have peace and quiet.my husband and son loved the curvy roads in the area to drive there motorcycles. There was also plenty of hiking areas to visit as well. Would highly recommended this place.

Lake house vacation

This house is perfect for our family of five, with three teenagers. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The house has a dock on Lake Santeetlah, and can accommodate small boats, which is the main reason for our vacation. The walk down to the dock through the backyard does have a lot of stairs which was good for us as it kept the in-laws away. The kitchen is well stocked with hardware and the grill was great to have. We were able to cook anything we wanted. The house was clean and comfortable, the owners were very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any communication. We’re looking forward to booking this house again.

Thank you to the owners of this place. It provided the necessary space for our family. Was extremely comfortable with plenty of elbow room… Home is well maintained and supplied with things to keep the family busy. Great experience!

A Happy Thanksgiving Stay

Serenity on the lake is a great place for a group of family or friends. The 3 bedrooms with queen beds and the two twin beds means that everyone has a small space of their own. The downstairs was perfect for my nephew to play with his toys without sprawling them about upstairs. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen in terms of cookware of any place we've ever stayed. Since we were there for thanksgiving we loaded up alot of kitchen wares we thought we'd need and many things we brought never got unpacked because we used what was already there. Despite being chilly my nephew and I spent time down at the dock playing "boats" and we even took the kayak out one afternoon. My brother in-law liked being able to watch the parade and football while working on Thanksgiving dinner from the kitchen. The reclining couches were perfect for post dinner naps. We didnt spend much time going out exploring, we definitely want to spend more time in the area. My wife and I did have a nice walk around the lake following along the road. The hosts were very communicative throughout the process. We all would recommend Serenity and would come again!
