We had an amazing time at Carmen’s place! She was a fantastic host who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay. She was very easy to communicate with and always responded to us quickly. She provided so many wonderful little touches from bottled water to handwritten cards. The backyard was beautiful and charming with floral surprises around every corner. Thank you so much for an excellent vacation! I would definitely recommend this home and I hope to return soon.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this property! The hosts were so amazing and accommodating, and they literally thought of everything to make our stay so comfortable and relaxing! The unit had the most magical backyard leading to the jungle and the ambiance set up by the hosts was so,so nice. The home itself had the perfect spacious layout and literally everything you needed to cook all sorts of different meals. Also fresh coffee, teas, tons and tons of toilet paper and towels! It was so nice not having to worry about any of those things. I could keep going on and on but I think saying I would 100% stay here again should suffice

Our hosts, Carmen and Gabriel, were outstanding. They were very prompt, clear communicators; and once we arrived, they offered expert guidance and recommendations for our sightseeing. The home is lovely. It is airy and light-filled, a very comfortable and clean space in which to relax and refresh in between our adventures. The home borders on a nature preserve filled with lush foliage and colorful birds. We spent some fresh mornings in the oasis of the hosts' backyard, sipping coffee and watching for the many species of birds, active in a beautiful sunrise. The hosts are master gardeners, growing a variety of flowers and fruit trees. One of our hosts led us on an informative (gentle) hike through the preserve, teaching us about some of the local flora and fauna of the island - so generous and an extra treat for us. For our beach time, the hosts provided beach chairs, towels and umbrella. The home has a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. There are grocery stores and local restaurants close by. In the evenings, we relaxed in the twilight, under the twinkling lights in the backyard oasis. Our time was refreshing, rejuvenating, and so much fun! Thank you, Carmen and Gabriel. You've thought of everything to welcome your guests and make them feel at home and valued.

lovely home

This is a beautiful home in a poor neighborhood. The adjoining forest is wonderful walking. The magnificently gardened backyard lacked shade and comfortable seating. We had to drive for all groceries, meals, etc. The house was impecabbly appointed, clean and furnished with all needs for our stay.

Hi Frank! It was our pleasure to host you. Regarding the gated community, most of the homes are occupied by senior citizens, and it's very safe and in the center of the metropolitan area. Although markets and restaurants are within walking distance, getting around by car is preferable due to climate conditions. Sorry you missed the backyard seats cushions located in the laundry room. More than we anticipated

Our stay at this property was very good. The property was very clean, tastefully decorated (with Christmas decorations as well) furniture was very nice and comfortable. The outdoors areas were nice with a lot of plants, you could tell there was pride of ownership with this home. There are many restaurants within walking distance and a few shops. We had a lot of fun believe or not down the street at the Gulf gas station. They have a outdoor bar that alot of locals come to. All extremely friendly. I would not hesitate recommending this property and will stay again.

GREAT PLACE IN CENTRAL SAN JUAN

This was our second time staying in this house. It is very spacious. The kitchen is full size with everything you need. The Livingroom is very comfortable with a very large smart TV. The two large bedrooms each have a smart TV and the third bedroom has its private bathroom. All the beds are comfortable with plenty of linen and towels. Full size washer & dryer. The backyard includes a large BBQ. Everything you need to be comfortable. Plenty of stores and restaurants within minutes. The hosts respond immediately to questions and are very gracious..

Every comfort you can think of at the edge of the forest

Carmen and Gabriel thought of just about everything to make for a comfortable stay, and were attentive and responsive hosts. First off, the property literally is on the edge of the forest as described - exiting out the back gate gets you there. In addition the standard amenities, they had beach chairs and towels, laundry detergent (to use on the full-size washer and dryer), an impressive first-aid kit, lanterns, a folding crib, many extra linens and towels, toiletries, ear plugs, etc. I've not seen such a thoroughly-equipped property before. A welcome gift with note was a wonderful touch. There really wasn't much more we could ask for. Additionally, we had an issue with lack of running water, they responded immediately and had the issue resolved within minutes of having contacted them. Gabriel even gave us a tour of the backyard, explaining the different plants and trees, and offering to take us on a guided tour of the forest. Communication with the hosts was excellent, starting from the minute we booked months before our stay, and responding to each inquiry along the way. The property is conveniently located within the greater San Juan metro area. I would choose to stay here again.

Orchids and Baseball!

From prompt and thoughtful communication with our hosts, to comfort, layout, cleanliness, and privacy for each of the three of us( 46, 77, and 78 years old) ,this property met all our needs. The futon in the office bedroom was very comfortable, and it was great to have bedside lighting for those who read in bed, as well as overhead lighting in the bedrooms. The outdoor area with Alicia's garden (fascinating for a family from Michigan) was lovely with plenty of shade, and access to the urban forest behind the house with easy trails was an added bonus. Nearby access to major highways allowed us to travel out of San Juan easily to other areas. Take time in the garden to notice all the flowering plants and trees and how they are potted, and watch for the Puerto Rican birds that we don't see at home. We had wonderful conversations with Gabriel about flora and fauna, local restaurants and food, recreation opportunities all over the island, music, history and culture, development of the urban forest, and we especially appreciated advice about the four day San Sebastian Festival (Sanse) that took place during our visit. We came for the Puerto Rican Winter League Baseball Finals and wound up enjoying the welcoming friendly people who shared their stories and culture as well. Thank you so much to the best hosts for adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip.
