It was very hard to find especially checking in during the night. I was not told to look for Shores Acres and I was not given the number of my cabin. It was extremely stressful and I had to call the booking agent multiple times to try to find my cabin. There was one very thin bedspread on the bed …. No blankets. I froze all night. Thankfully I had a thick sweater in the trunk of my car . I wore that. But, I will say the company checked in with me the next day and I told them I was freezing and they did bring 2 blankets to me… so, they did try to make it right. Also, the cabin had an odor to it. I could not wait to get home to shower…. They did have a shower there, but I could not get that cabin smell that was on my hands off until I showered at home . I thought I was renting a lake front cabin . It did not look out onto the lake. But, I was able to walk over to the lake in the morning to have my tea standing up. I had trouble with the keyless lock on the front door every time I used it. It either would not lock or it would not unlock. I had to again make multiple calls to rental company .

Nice little house

Walk 2 minutes to the laker, no share walls. Great for couples , a bit old inside , reasonable price, friendly check in.

Lovely quiet little cabin

The cabin was perfect for my boyfriend and I . We enjoyed a quiet little getaway with a view of the lake. Check in staff were super friendly and helpful, and as an added bonus we were given a little multi-spice jar to use and take home. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful spot with lots to do. Perfect size for a couple and worked well with our dog. Lots of windows with good lighting and most of them open letting a nice breeze in. The kitchen isn’t fully stocked but has forks, knives, plates, bowls, and few pots and pans. The kitchen and shower were a little small but definitely manageable for 2.

Upgrade furniture

Old and Tired

While very close to the lake, there is nothing special about the property. Our cabin was old and stale. The bed was very uncomfortable. The kitchen had a coffee pot and no mugs! Very disappointing.

Not what I was expecting

I found the property to be very dated. The kitchen stock of dishes was really bad. There was only one spoon and the actual plates looked like they hadn't been washed. The bathroom sink was cracked and the shower leaked. I would not stay here again.

We have added upgraded kitchen utensils and had our bathroom fixed for future guests and do hope to host you again in another home that is more to your liking ;)

Cute but no shower

The shower didn't work, but we were already unpacked and didn't ask for another unit. The water was boiling hot, then suddenly freezing cold--back and forth. So we spent 3 days there without showers. Very disappointing

A Few Missing Amenities.

Although there was a coffee maker there were no coffee cups, & no filters. The kitchen could use another larger skillet, and a cookie sheet for baking in the oven. Also a cutting board. The bathroom & shower need some repair. When booked it was with the understanding that there was a view. (That's was a stretch)

Great place next to the lake and village!

Nice little getaway for a long week. The checkin process was easy and the location was perfect for us! Right next to the lake and about a 20min walk/5min drive to the downtown area. I wouldn’t say this is the Ritz Carlton by any means, I felt like I was kind of camping but with a bed, kitchen and toilet (that’s what we wanted). The place wasn’t sparkling clean, but it is a lodge so I wasn’t expecting a fancy hotel. If you want a nice hotel and someone to make your bed, and bring you clean towels everyday this isn’t the place for you. If you want more of an escape with camping vibes, this would be the place for you. We stayed for 7 days and were very happy with our stay.

Little pines cabin 102

The little pines cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway for my boyfriend and our dog! We loved the location and the cabin itself, only thing I would recommend is they do a better job with cleaning. Found a few hairs on the night stand next to bed, carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed, also a previous guests bath towel was hanging up on the back of the bedroom door....I expect a thourough cleaning anywhere I stay especially in these times and that’s definitely not what we got at little pines. The Rec area outside on the property could of also used some cleaning up. Trash and cigarette butts all over the ground right next to a few trash cans, I get there are animals like raccoons that get in the trash overnight but maybe a few lids on the cans...also someone should come around at least once a day and pick up around there!

Cute and functional

Such a sweet little cabin with a view of the lake. It was perfect for a getaway. I wish the spa had still been available, but I realize the nights are getting cold so it had been drained.

No Pay-Per-View Ordering in any homes.

No refunds/credits for cancellations or trip interruptions due to acts of nature, (especially snow, fire, power outages) weather, road conditions, mechanical or electrical failures, spa malfunctions, or other equipment factors beyond our control.

This is a forested mountain community home to critters- animals or insects you may encounter are spiders, moths, flies, squirrels, gophers, bears, coyotes, burro, bear, bats, etc. Our team inspects prior to arrival but cannot guarantee the home will be free of these forest critters.
