This place was great. It was comfy. Had plenty of bedding extra blankets. Three full baths! We really enjoyed our stay here, has everything you need.! Would totally book here again. This location was close to a the Vons a shopping center, but just far enough to be quiet.

I highly recommend this lovely two bedroom condo in Forest Creek. However, we did not encounter two problems about which we did not call for assistance. My daughter wanted to use the jacuzzi but it did not seem to be operational. The other problem was that on arrival the refrigerator was turned to 5 instead of 1 as was instructed on the refrigerator door. As a result, some of our vegetables were partially frozen the day after our arrival.

Grea location and locker Canykn Lodge icing on top!

Great layout and location. Very close to Vons and shops and only 6 minutes ro Canyon Lodge. The kitchen does not have the usual basics like salt ans pepper so be prepared. Only real disappointment for us was that the jacuzzi on the balcony was not full/functioning/ready and the washing machine and dryer unit was out of order and looked like it has been some time.fosomr time. order for a while.

The trundle bed frame was broken, but we just put the mattress for it on the floor and it worked fine. You could feel some of the springs in the pull out couch bed, but again, it worked fine.

Tired but charming

This property has a fantastic wood stove, nice beds and decent sized kitchen. The property looks like it has not had a makover in 30 years. Heater in second bedroom broken, one of the heaters in living room broken and one of the fuse boxes is locked away outside so if it blows you cannot get half the lights to work until maintenance comes out.

When we arrived we found a toilet needed a repair to the flushing mechanism and the TVs/cable were not functioning. The property management company was very responsive and sent someone to address these right away. The toilet was fixed; however, we got some but not all of the cable channels on the master bedroom tv. In addition, there were cobwebs on some of the lamps and the dining room light fixture. The light over the sink was burnt out. There is a missing light bulb in the dining room light fixture. By the time I noticed the cobwebs and missing/burnt out lights I felt that I had already pestered the management company enough. A deep, detailed cleaning and addressing missing/burnt out light bulbs would make this condo perfect!

Spacious, solid rental

The TV is not a smart TV, so I wish I had brought a Chromecast or Apple TV.

Ok if it’s just a place to sleep

This stay was kinda disappointing. It was fine the check in location was off site and you had to stop at a separate location just inconvenient for checking in and out that way. When I rent a property I look at pictures. I sometimes open the description but when it is 2-3 pages of fluff I just skim, normally pictures tell all. This property has a beautiful indoor hot tub pictured but supposedly it hasn’t worked for over a year. I went back and looked in the description and you MUST open it fully to see it states (temporarily out of order), but my thoughts are if it’s been out of order for a year take the pictures down. At this point it’s just a false advertisement. I told the manager that and they basically said sorry about you we’ll think about it. Obviously they didnt care because those pictures are still up. They claimed it was made up with a visit to the athletic club free but that place was very run down and closes very early. Terrible place for a family. Good location to get to the village quickly. Washer drier was also out of order. No air condition so got pretty hot. If you need a place to sleep great but not exactly an ideal place to relax

The bathrooms have been renovated and everything works throughout the condo. We loved having the jacuzzi right off the balcony. However, it took almost two days to heat up. Don't forget to bring your own towels for the jacuzzi as there aren't any extra towels provided for it.I would easily rent this condo again.

One note: we had trouble with the jacuzzi taking forever to warm up to the right temperature, but once it gets there it's a nice tub. Try the blowers/jets buttons to raise the temperature faster. Having a locker at Canyon lodge was very helpful, and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking pots and pans and accessories. Definitely recommended for cooking with friends. The bus schedule was not as straightforward to figure out as I hoped, but we managed to catch the purple line in the evening which drops off on a street parallel to Joaquin. The sofabed was not very comfortable, but that's not a surprise to most people. I would stay there again, but next time I would turn on the hot tub 2 days before I arrive.

In fact, we stayed in another Mammoth Sierra condo the month before but I spent quite a bit of time selecting this more expensive unit because I wanted laundry in the unit. However the washer and drier in Forest Creek #28 were taped off with a sign that said "Please don't try to run Parts on Order" Obviously it hadn't been working for awhile but it was still advertised as having laundry. I called Mammoth Sierra and explained the situation. Kayla took the message and said she would discuss with a manager and call me back. Nobody ever returned the call. Mammoth Sierra apparently didn't know or care if the laundry was operating. Their webpage also says this unit has a king bed in the master bedroom, which it does not. I don't think the property managers verify the information they have listed and they are unresponsive when contacted. Use a different rental company.

We read about problems with the temperature of the hot tub but it was never a problem for us. Kitchen was well stocked but missing a cookie sheet and the management office brought us one within an hour! Definitely will be back.

Two Thumbs Up!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect amount of space for our party of 6. This was the 2nd time we stayed in this exact unit #28. Super comfortable, very clean (definitely up to my standards!) and just the right amount of seating, lounging. Furnishing and decor are just fine for that cabin feel- not a preferred style, but certainly comfortable and provided the right amount of relaxation. LOVED the hot tub after hitting up the slopes. Heads up, the hot tub does take a few hours to hit the right temperature. We've learned from past reviews to make it a priority to turn on the hot tub before settling in! This particular weekend had some winter weather that I think caused the hot tub to go out. Our call to the management company on a Friday was answered promptly and within an hour or so someone came to flip the breakers that were only accessible in a locked closet, 3-4 hours later the hot tub was perfect!Other great features:-Parking for 2 was never a problem-Heaters worked well-Plenty of dishes and cook ware-Full extra bathroom upstairs was a plus for getting ready, etc.-Appx 5 minute drive to Canyon lodge...AND there's a locker waiting for you to store your equipment...super convenient!The only thing I would recommend is to bring a beach towel for the hot tub. There are a certain amount of shower long as you don't mind using your towel for both getting out of the shower and the hot tub you'll be fine.Other than that, we'd definitely recommend renting this unit. We plan to make this our annual spot when visiting Mammoth!
