This unique custom-built barn/house is only two years old, furnished and fitted with our guests in mind, Rathbun Rustic Retreat welcomes you home to thoughtful amenities for playing, relaxing and memory making.

Located on the North side of Lake Rathbun less than a mile from Honey Creek Resort, 6 miles from Honey Creek State Park and several dining options very close by. Multiple boat ramps close by for great fishing or ice fishing or a beautiful day on the Wonderful Lake Rathbun. We have plenty of space to park boats, boat trailers along with any size vehicles, ATV trailers, or RV’s. It also has an RV/Camper hook-up for those that have larger families and need the extra room! This space includes electricity for an extra fee of $30 per night.

Loft floors & walls are reclaimed 110-year-old plus Fir from the old Williamsburg, IA Hospital. Electric Heated Fireplace custom made with Walnut live edge slabs and reclaimed stones. Custom Spalted Maple live edge Steps with baby gate at bottom. Trim around doors is custom cut Hackberry. 50-year-old lighted signs, new old gutters inside & neat old boat motor. Tons of old rustic charm!
