Escape to the tranquility of nature in our spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin nestled right on the banks of picturesque Pine Creek. Black Bear Lodge offers a cozy yet expansive haven for up to 10 guests, making it the ideal setting for the whole family. Guests have direct access to Pine Creek. The cabin also has a hot tub with a perfect view of the Creek. Black Bear Lodge is strategically situated- 15 miles to the PA Grand Canyon, 2 miles to downtown Galeton, and 20 miles to Wellsboro.

The cabin was clean, quiet, and had the cutest decor. There was a very informative binder welcoming us to the property. Cozy indoor and out, beautiful property and surrounding area. Would love to come back in summer!

My husband and I and our adult children and grandchildren traveled to Galeton to attend the Wellsboro Dickens of a Christmas for the first time. We booked this cabin for our weekend stay. I can't express how much we enjoyed our stay at this absolutely beautiful cabin. The cabin is so welcomingly cozy, so spotlessly clean and well maintained with all the comforts of home. We ate dinner at the Perma Stone Inn, which is right near the cabin - excellent food, huge portions and friendly staff. We hope to return to this gorgeous area again someday and would definitely love to stay at this cabin once again! :)

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at this cabin. Home was exacting as described. Comfy furniture, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Beautiful view of creek out back. Hot tub was amazing! Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

It felt like home. Very clean and gorgeous property, especially in the fall!! It was so quiet and relaxing with the hot tub and perfect for our anniversary vacation with our small pups. We got married 1/2 mile from this property. It is close to Wellsboro (our favorite town), the pine creek rail trail, covered wagon rides, Leonard Harrison, Cherry Spring State Park. You can star gaze in the backyard, play in the creek or the huge backyard, relax on the deck or in the hot tub. I highly recommend this property, we will be back!

The property was clean and the setting was perfect! We sat by the fire ring which was right beside pine creek. We saw an eagle on our first night. Then we hiked and rode our side by side all the way to Colton park. At the end of the day we relaxed in the hot tube. The host responded to all our questions in a timely manner and was very kind. Perfect location!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Black Bear. The cabin was everything we needed and super comfortable. The hot tub, the view from the back porch, the quiet was spectacular, especially the nature's light show in the trees by the creek at night. It was magical. Hope to get to stay again. The host was easy to work and had everything in the cabin you might need. Thanks Dave.

Dicken’s Christmas

We came up for the Dicken’s Christmas in Wellsboro. The house was great. Kitchen needs to be stocked better with spices if your cooking in house. The driveway needs to be marked better to be able to find it at night, the first night we went passed it 3 times. There were no lights left on so we came in blind in the dark. It has snowed also and nothing was plowed or shoveled.

Our stay was absolutely perfect!!! Plenty of wildlife to spot and enjoy the serene scenery. Spent 2 amazingly gorgeous snowy nites in the hot tub. Awesome communication with the owner. Definitely a return trip is in the making :)
