Enjoy a private waterfront experience in the DownEast. Located in a quaint little fishing village, this Jonesport Oceanfront cottage offers direct access to a private beach on Moosabec Reach. Sit back and enjoy listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean, watching local fishermen as they haul their lobster traps, and enjoy the spectacular horizon sunrise and sunsets. Across the reach, you can visit Beals Island the homeland of National Folklore legend Tall Barney Beal. Stop by Beals Heritage Center to learn just how tall and strong he was. Also the Nature's Conservancy has a 5 mile hike located through the woods, at the end of Great Wass Island. Travel an hour east where you can visit West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec America. Watch the lobstermen boating to work each morning while sipping coffee from your deck. Day trips to Acadia Nat’l Park, Bar Harbor, Lubec (the most eastern point in the US), and FDR’s Campabello Island are just a short drive away. Bring a furry friend as the cottage is also a dogs’ paradise.

Excellent cottage for families. The location was perfect and was very quiet. We had awesome views of sunrises and sunsets. Everything we needed to make our stay memorable was at hand. The beach was easily accessible. We found a lot of treasures.

We've stayed in many rentals, and this was by far our favorite! It really is an amazing property with an amazing view, as advertised! The house is very comfortable, and very well equipped. The (5) of us all said that our stay here was truly a highlight of the summer. We had to force ourselves to leave the house to explore the area- didn't want to leave the deck! And our dogs loved playing on the quiet beach. All in all quite heavenly!

As soon as you walk through the door, every ounce of stress disappears. From the ocean view out every window to the lobster boats coming in and out of the bay, there couldn't be a more ideal location. House is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

The warning is right there in the description... you'll never want to leave! This was the first time we felt like we could have spent our whole vacation at the rental and been completely content. Spectacular views, beautifully designed and very well-appointed home, clean... just a flawless, relaxing stay. Thank you!

Peaceful & Perfect!!

We loved our stay in this beautiful, secluded oceanfront cottage! The home had everything we needed and the view was absolutely amazing! Stewart's Grocery & Takeout had great takeout pizza and groceries. We enjoyed lovely maple cortados at the Milkhouse Cafe south of Machias, and fantastic lobster bisque at the Public House. Eastport, Lubec, and Pembroke are all an easy drive away. We also enjoyed Lunch on the Wharf in Corea. An unforgetable stay in an unforgettable location.

Very Special Place!

This property is everything and then some. We had a wonderful week of pure Maine beauty all around us. Bring binoculars!! We watched the seals everyday and even had a couple deer in the back yard one evening. Peaceful, beautiful, and the house has everything you need. We will definitely return to this property!

Perfect Downeast Cottage

The cottage by the seas is amazing. Amazing location and proximity to the beach. House was very clean and well equipped with almost everything to make our stay perfect. Only two recommendations for future enhancements, the house is advertised for 6 people but dining area only seats four and, it would be awesome to have an outside dining area.

Fantastic Week on the Ocean

Best family vacation we have had. House was stunning with views of the ocean and islands throughout the main living room. Wrap around porch gave all the views you could ever want. Seals, loons and lobster boats a plenty. Could not have asked for a better place to stay on this wonderful family vacation.

Perfect Fall beach destination

Loved everything. Comfy beds, great kitchen, plenty of seating for family. Location was perfect as well. Wrap around deck had the best views of the ocean. It was exactly what we hoped for

We are coming back!

This was a perfect week for an older mom and adult son to spend quality time together. Two floors provided each with privacy. Kitchen is great for cooking together. Although the house was perfect it is just a house unless you mention the 180’ view of the Gulf of Maine. We were able to watch the sun rise. Moonrise , sunset and even moonset if you were awake. Then there is the beach a few steps away!! A gorgeous view, a beautiful home. Already made reservations for next year!

The house is light and bright with gorgeous water views. The town has few amenities, but this is the place to come if you want to get away from it all.

Amazing Views

Amazing location and views allowing for some rest and relaxation in the quiet coastal town of Jonesport. We loved sitting on the porch watching the lobster boats pass by and exploring for treasures along the beach. Great spot - we hope to be back.

Family Trip

The location couldn’t be better! The house is steps from the beach and the sand is perfect for sand castle building. Our family of 4 with two children under 7, along with our lab mix, had an amazing time. We all loved swimming and it was easy to hose off outside. The house was well appointed with everything we needed and was very comfortable. There were ocean views out almost every window. Machias isn’t too far for groceries and a trip to Helen’s restaurant. If you have young children, we would suggest bringing a few plastic plates, bowls and cups. We asked about beach towels and chairs and they were brought over before we Even showed up - very responsive hosts! Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect relaxation

We just finished a wonderful week at this amazing beach house. It is exactly as described! We enjoyed walking out to the private beach, watching the lobster boats drive past from the deck, and being surrounded by the beauty that this part of Maine offers. We were able to explore the coast line and by lobster directly from the boat at a nearby wharf. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and healing weekend in our favorite place.

Relaxing Quiet Getaway

The house was beautiful and exactly as pictures show. Be prepared for complete seclusion. Besides neighbor next door we only saw one person on the beach the entire week. Loved watching the lobster boats go out and come in each day. Small local grocery store and pizza restaurant. Need to travel 30 minutes or more for restaurant. If you want an escape from the day to day grind it is a perfect location.

Superbe chalet très près de la mer. Fenestration et grande galerie qui permettent de profiter de la vue de la mer et ce, même par temps de pluie. Visite faite avec 2 chiens de grande taille, chalet parfait pour eux également. Seul hic c’est qu’il n’y a vraiment pas grand chose à Jonesport, plus proche épicerie à 22 minutes d’auto. Très propre et très beau chalet!

Drinking coffee from the deck and watching the sunrise is one for the books! The views are amazing while watching the lobstermen head to work. The view is 270 degrees of uninterrupted coastline.
