A brand new mountain oasis just seconds from the Blue Ridge parkway. We're in the heart of Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Mountains, with walking access to miles of hiking/biking trails, and convenient to downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, NC Arboretum, and Biltmore Park. Relax and enjoy the beautiful canopy views and sounds from our treetop deck. Head to the woods, or head to town for Asheville’s vibrant food/music scene, The Birds Nest will make it an easy and fun experience!
The space
The Birds Nest is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment, with full kitchen, living room, and what we call the "canopy deck." All accessed via 17 stairs to a private entrance on the deck itself.

The deck is our favorite part of the apartment.. it puts you in the canopy of surrounding trees, and amongst the birds. Being that the deck is 30ft off the ground, we elected for 42in handrails for safety. With that said, the deck is not a place for children to play or roam unsupervised. A fall from the deck would be tragic.

The bedroom is equipped with a King bed, lounging space, dresser, ceiling fan, and closet

The bathroom has a tiled tub/shower surround and vanity for storage.

Living Room, has a chaise sofa that pulls out into a full sized bed. Memory foam topper and additional linens are in apartment for sofa bed.

Kitchen is stocked with most things you need to cook yourself a delicious meal. Appliances are brand new stainless appliances, and include Refrigerator, Induction range, Microwave/vent hood, and stainless workstation sink.

Additionally we offer complimentary coffee from one of our favorite local roasters, as well as tea. Multiple methods of brewing available including French Press, Pour Over, and drip coffee.
Guest access
The Birds Nest is set up as its own independent space. You will have access to the entire apartment and deck. Our goal is to give you as much privacy as we can. The apartment is above our garage at the end of our driveway. While the surroundings are wooded, we are in a neighborhood, and as leaves fall, you will be able to see neighboring houses. The perk of leaves falling is that you will also gain some long range mountain views.

Additionally, we do have a kid. His trampoline is down the hill below the apartment, and is used intermittently by him and his friends. They are all respectful, and if they are being too loud please let us know.

We ask that guests do not use the Trampoline for liability reasons.
Other things to note
We would love to host you! The Birds Nest has been a labour of love (and tears) for us. We hope you love it as much as we do!

The only way into and out of the apartment is up/down 17 stairs. Please take note before booking if you have health conditions that would prevent you from making it up or down the stairs.

As noted above. The deck is way up off the ground (30ft+). A fall from the deck would likely be fatal and incredibly tragic. This apartment is not "child proof." Please take note of these hazards if you have children and are booking with us.
