Welcome to North Wind! Soundfront with 180° views, and sunsets you won't forget. Private access to the Pamlico Sound and less than a 2-minute drive to the ocean-side beach. Private pier with gazebo, water access ideal for all water sports, hot tub with sound views, and access to community pool. Bright sunny inside of the home has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, sleeping 14 comfortably, and packed with everything you need to enjoy your stay! In high season, Saturday check-in and 7-day minimum stay.

The house was well maintained, clean, nicely decorated. The kitchen was as well-equipped as we have seen. Nice location, good sunset views, protected from the fierce N winds we had due to a passing nor'easter. There is a fairly small grassy area for rigging sailing equipment. The entire under house area is paved.

We had a great time in this place. Well equipped house with clean rooms and bathrooms. Wonderful kitchen, living, and dining area on the top floor with custom made table which design corresponds perfectly with OBX vibes. Sunset view from the top deck was stunning. We enjoyed the sound access and the pool as well as hot tub. Everything in good working condition. Very good contact with the hosts! We are going to be back there for sure! Highly recommend!

Great location!

We had a wonderful stay! The house is big with enough space for a big group. The house has easy access to Avon beaches and is right next to Pamlico Sound. A wonderful restaurant, The PoHouse, is only a 4 minute walk from the house.

Best house I’ve stayed in

Home was in the best condition of any house that I’ve stayed in in Hatteras. Everything in the kitchen was in excellent condition. The sunset views are amazing. If you’re going to stay here please take care of the house as if it’s yours so we can continue to enjoy this home in the future. Thanks A& K

Wonderful vacation home

We have rented in the obx for many years and this is the house I can say confidently that we would rent at again. The house is perfect for families...very spacious and well laid out and the private beach was absolute perfection for all ages to enjoy. The hosts were quick to communicate. There was a small mishap at check in but the hosts responded quickly and rectified the situation. The private community was quiet and town was very chill without the heavy traffic and noise of Duck and Nags Head. The beaches were more of a hike to get too, but we discovered we liked hanging out at the sound more so primarily stayed there. Overall one of the best house we stayed at the OBX and highly recommend it!!!

Great family vacation 2024

Came down to the Outer Banks from LI, New York (11 hr drive). House was large enough to host 9 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 kids under 5yrs. Plenty to do in the area and beaches were beautiful. We used the drive on beaches with our trucks. Sunsets at the house were amazing. Also got a license to have bonfires on the beach at night. Totally a family experience. Memories were made for sure.

Been coming to Avon and Buxton for years But I must be honest on issues we had.Had notified owners after stay, but no answer.House was great. But no AC for the first 3 days. AC was off on top floor, due to no internet as it was shut off and we were not aware. Service Came mid week to check it out. Had a sickly outdoor racoon problem first day, we needed to report. No one available until Monday. Notified owners they said let them know if we see it again and they’d call pest control. We had issues with tv remotes in 3 bedrooms. We’re never able to use the TVs in those rooms. Reported twice. Came day before we left. Didn’t see a point purchasing batteries night before we left. As I didn’t want to open owners package. So I left it. We usually use a local realtor. May ho back to that to get immediate results to issues. Was an issue with stains on bed covers. We washed and they went away. But had a great time at the braces and Ocracoke.

Hi Peggy - thanks so much for the feedback. This is quite different from the reviews of our other guests so we feel the need to clarify a few things. You checked in on August 9th and first notified us of an issue with the AC at 5pm on August 13. We replied in minutes and had it fixed by 1pm the following day and it went out from a storm. Unfortunately we were not made aware of the other issues you mentioned so it was not possible for us to resolve those items. We did reach out a few days into your stay to check how things were going - you mentioned “we love the house, will update if we need to”. Next time, if you provide this feedback while you’re there, it would give us the chance to fix things. Thanks again for staying with us!
