Smoking allowed on balcony WITH DOORS CLOSED and do not throw your butts over the railings. Bring ashtray or keep ashes and butts in can or bottle to prevent fires.

My wife and I stayed for a week in this apartment while visiting our grandchildren and had a wonderful time. The apartment is on the second floor of a Victorian house so it really captures the flavor of Oak Park. It was much more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The neighborhood is great and the location is excellent - very close to shops, terrific restaurants, and transportation to downtown Chicago. Communication with Lisa was very easy and she was very helpful. We would stay here again

Superior Location, Beautiful House

The location is superb, close to food, shops, FLW houses, on a quiet street surrounded by gorgeous homes. The apartment was nice particularly the living and dining areas. Bedrooms are small with the side of the beds pushed against a wall. Kitchen pots were in bad shape. The fit and finish of some of the later installs in the beautiful old home were lacking in quality. These were enough to lower my overall rating.

Great Location

I had a very nice week-long stay. The property was perfectly located for my needs. In general, street parking was available and I ended up not using the garage at all. The apartment was very clean. Communication with Lisa was good - she was very kind to work with me getting the reservation set up and always responded in a timely manner. I would stay here again.

Not worth the hassle

I wish I would have taken pictures. The shower was dirty. The plaster was broken throughout the bathroom and kitchen. The neighborhood and location was great, but that was all that I can say was positive about the property. You are better off staying in a hotel.

Perfect for a weekend

My friend and I took our daughters (aged 2 & 8) to visit other friends that live in Oak Park for a long weekend (Friday to Monday, we live in NJ). This was the perfect place to be. Oak Park is extremely walkable and we were near restaurants, parks and our friend’s neighborhood. The air conditioning is window units but there are multiple and they kept the entire place very cool. The bathroom was very clean and the kitchen was also very clean and well stocked with that things we may need (we bought strawberries and were able to clean & cut them and put them in a glass Pyrex bowl with lid to take with us for the day). The tv came ready to go with Disney+ and Netflix which is all we needed at the end of the night when trying to bring the girls down from a fun day Before bed. We had a great time and appreciate being able to come back to an apartment where we had our own spaces.

Beautiful location

Extremely easy check in process and having the garage to park made it easy for us to just leave our car in the garage and walk everywhere. The neighborhood is beautiful and made us feel very safe walking around as two women. The apartment itself was well kept and cute. I would say if we had any negative things to say, it would be that with the apartment being older, the walls are thin and the neighbors dog would tend to bark at every noise but luckily this was never at night while trying to sleep. So we really didn’t have a problem with it. Lisa was amazing at responding to a few questions we had at arrival and I would highly recommend staying here.
