The Black Barn, private with Spa

Situated in the heart of wine country, this loft-inspired renovated barn is truly one of a kind. Whether you’re in the area for a wedding, a romantic weekend away, or just catching up with friends, the Black Barn is the place to stay. A short drive will see you lunching at your choice of vineyards, breweries or walking the trails of the scenic Riverhead Forest, close by you’ll find the beautiful black sand beach of Muriwai, famous for its gannet colony, surfing, golf course and stunning sunsets.

A large open plan living area, with bi-fold doors allowing for amazing flow from the lounge and bar area to the entertaining deck, bbq and spa. This area is completely private and yours alone to enjoy. The bar area, including bar fridges and pool table, is a great space for holding small gatherings and ‘Alexa’ can help you find the right songs for any occasion. The spa is under cover, making it perfect place to relax and unwind even on a rainy night, or you can watch a movie on the outdoor big screen TV.

The spacious bedroom has a super king bed and ample wardrobe storage, and the bathroom has a large tiled walk-in shower. The small but functional kitchenette has a fridge-freezer, microwave, dish drawer, toaster, electric frying pan and kettle. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar along with cooking and washing up basics are provided for your stay. Both a washing machine and dryer are in the laundry and washing powder capsules are provided for your convenience.

Heat pumps throughout the Black Barn ensure you will be warm and cosy during winter stays or breezy cool in summer.
