La histórica McCabe-Lancaster House se encuentra frente al océano, a pocos pasos del acceso a la playa; Con un soporte de salvavidas. Hay un camino circular con amplio estacionamiento en la parte de atrás. Es una casa de playa clásica con un plan de piso abierto y un encanto nostálgico. Ambos niveles de esta casa se pueden alquilar de forma individual o como una casa entera. El primer piso cuenta con una rampa y baño para discapacitados (con puerta de asistencia para discapacitados), 3 dormitorios, 2 baños, cocina grande, sala y comedor. El nivel superior tiene 3 dormitorios y 2 baños, una gran cocina y áreas de estar y comedor.

Los niveles superior e inferior se accede desde el exterior. Cada piso tiene un gran porche abierto con columpios, mecedoras, mesa y sillas. Hay una ducha al aire libre compartida para ambas unidades y un estacionamiento designado para el carrito de golf y una estación de carga con espacio para dos carritos. Previa solicitud, una cuna portátil y una silla alta pueden estar disponibles.

Esta es una unidad para no fumadores. No se permiten mascotas.

Family gathering

This place was exactly as described; quite old, but charming and perfectly adequate, easy walk to the beach, and clean. As other reviewers have noted, if there are upstairs guests, you hear them, but fortunately the folks there while we were visiting were considerate, and we were not disturbed.

Had a great week!

We had a wonderful week, with 5 adults and 2 children, ages 4 to 76 and plenty of room for us in this charming house. . The beautiful beach was only a several minute walk away. Restaurants, the Boardwalk, and several grocery stores were an easy drive. If we vacation again at lovely Carolina Beach, we would definitely stay in this historic cottage.

Perfect for the family

Cute historic house with charm close to the beach was perfect for our family of 6. Only negative would be that if you're in the lower unit, the upper unit can seem a bit loud.

Annual family vacation at beach.

815 Carolina Beach Road was a lovely place to stay. It had adequate seating at the table and enough beds for the family. Home was clean and fresh and had everything in the kitchen we needed. Would definitely recommend it. Parking was the best we have had in several years staying at the beach.

Get Away

Enjoyed time at the beach. This house was close to beach but in a quieter section of the area. Liked that it was handicapped accessible. Did have one concern when one of the beds collapsed--but we adapted and vacationed on.

Carolina Beach

Our place was very nice. Location was good. Beach was good. Very dirty ocean due to storm first 3/4 days. Cleared up some on Friday and Saturday. Beautiful weather the entire time. Really enjoyed the time there. One problem though, a family of 8 moved in on Friday morning at 3:00. They were very loud. They were loud the entire time I will only rent a one story for one family next time I stay with you. They showed no respect for our family on the 1st level but that’s ok. I learned what to request next time. Thank you

We especially needed a handicapped accessible location and it was hard to find one. This house was just perfect. We rented the lower level. Everybody loved the charm of this house. I would love to rent this place again. If you rented both levels you could really take a large group or family. Every thing was there that we needed for cooking and the property was well maintained. The rental staff did a great job with check in and check out.

Reviewer Comments: No follow-up communication even though I sent 4 emails. broken chairs in kitchen, living room and porch, beds hard and squeaky, bug in living room, overall condition of the unit did not match the pictures online. Value for money paid was not good.

Diana - Wonderful to hear you enjoyed Henson! Sounds like you had a run in with one of our "locals". Unfortunately, palmetto bugs are prone to this area due to being to close to paradise. No worries! Nice like cottage, enjoyed the stay

Great Lil cottage walking distance to Carolina Beach (to the left). Has a breakfast sandwich take out half a block, good quick morning eats. Would like a little more sound proofing between floors. I was on the bottom floor, which has a nice covered front porch and swing. Plenty of room to have a family sit and eat outside. Would stay again, except we missed our dog. A no pet property.
