Bluebird Day - Crater Retreat

Welcome to Crater Retreat!

Crater Retreat is light and bright modern home tucked backed in a quiet corner of the historic district of downtown. You will have the best of everything at your fingertips! Walk everywhere  in just a few minutes. Mirror Pond, Deschutes River and Old Mill are all close. 

This home has two bedrooms with king beds and a den that also has a king bed. Please do remember that this sweet home only has one bathroom. If you can handle that, you will absolutely love this location. Fully equipped kitchen and dining space for 6. Outside you will find a patio with a BBQ and seating for 6. The patio is situated on a corner lot, perfect for relaxing and watching all your neighbors walk by. You will have two secured spots right in your own private paved driveway and a locking shed for your gear. This home will make an exceptional base for all of your adventures. 

Mt Bachelor Ski Resort and the Cascade Lakes are just a short drive away and are the perfect places to explore in any season. Biking trails in the warmer seasons and skiing or snowboarding option in the winter.

Perfect location to spend 4th of July! Just a couple blocks from restaurants, shops and Drake Park/river. Very clean and comfortable! Loved the outdoor grill and seating area as well.

Clean, new, comfortable and walkable!

Newly remodeled and modern with three bedrooms with comfy king beds. Cozy living area and compact kitchen with all the necessities. Easy walk into downtown Bed and Old Mill for great dining and shopping. 3 minute drive to grocery shopping. Property management company was stellar and so responsive. Highly recommend!

We had soccer match for our son, and hotels don’t have enough beds . So happy to find your place to stay for the weekend. But I wish all rooms had tv. And extra blankets.

Good location

Nice little place to stay in Bend. Def built as a rental, it’s basic with a living room, kitchen and three bedrooms off the living room but it was exactly what we needed. Would recommend.

Close to everything!

We liked this property but there wasn’t much room in the den turned bedroom and no closet. That same room got very hot at night (summer) even with a fan and the door open. There are clear glass windows above the bedroom doors so if someone is up in the living room or kitchen, the light shines through those windows into the bedroom. Most of the upper cabinets in the kitchen required a stool (provided) in order to reach the items. They were not at a standard height. Other than that, this was a nice property with a great outdoor area. We were able to walk to everything downtown related.

Perfect Spot

We visit the Bend area quite often in the summer and winter. This spot was perfect for the summer as it’s walking distance to anything you might need in town and the river. Good restaurants around there and breweries. My wife and I are avid runners and the Deschutes River trail is right there that winds you along the river for awesome scenery. House was well kept and the neighborhood is quiet which is great. Definitely will keep this spot on the list to come back to.

Perfect location!

House was in the perfect location! We were 3-4 minutes from everything! The only thing that I wish was that the heat worked a little more in the bedroom but I’m just a really cold person all the time. Nothing that would stop me from staying there again! Really cute house! :)

Perfect location, super comfy bed(s)!!!

Incredibly clean, very comfy bed(s) (we only used one lol) and love that they’re king size, very well stocked kitchen, owners were so nice and communicative, and a seriously perfect location for walkability. Lots of seating at table and bar, but, the *only* thing I’d give future renters a note about is that the living room furniture really only allows 3 people to “lounge” comfortably (one person on chair, two people lay or recline on the sofa). Four can very comfortably sit on the sofa, but might not be the easiest to “lounge” and watch a movie, for example. For the two of us, every single thing was A+ 😊 Thank you!!!

Great place

Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Was very clean and had a well equipped kitchen as we made breakfast everyday. Loved that the rooms all had king size beds and even though there is only one bathroom, it wasn’t a drawback.
