Poplar Lake Lodge es un muy aislado 4000 FT. albergue con un gran lago de propiedad privada en el Alto Michigan. Such a beautiful secluded property! So much amazing nature see and plenty to do without ever leaving the property. The owner has pretty much thought of everything you would need and was great with communicating and explaining what we needed to know. We had a wonderful time and would like to return in the future!

Rapid River Poplar Lake Stay!

I organized a trip for a plan to do some isolated fishing with my family and that’s exactly what we got. The Lodge is very unique in an off grid location in the national forest. We loved the isolation and seclusion. And for the fishing it was great catching pike, black crappie and bass.

POPLAR LAKE GETAWAY

Our stay was very peaceful and quiet. The kids enjoyed paddle boats, kayaks and jumping off the floating dock, They also enjoyed feeding the swans that live on the lake. We had a great time in game room playing pool, ping pong, foosball and darts. If you want off the grind vacation this is the place to go..

Reunion in the wilderness

Beautiful rustic resort way back in the wilderness. A beautiful lake in your back yard. We hit it at the peak color season and it was wonderful. The young folk loved the kayaks and bond fires every night. We all had a great time and the host was terrific.

We had a great experience here! The fishing was fun - Pike, Muskie, Bass, Perch and Sunfish. The beach area was nice - loved that it had a firepit with cooking tripod. Canoe, rowboats, SUPs, paddle boats, kayaks, life jackets, play area, pool table, foosball, ping pong, tons of board and card games, puzzles, movies, and sand toys all available. Lovely screened in porches. We brought our whole family and our quads - and everyone always had something to do for fun! The host (Charlie) was so sweet and was always available to contact with any questions or issues. Great place to disconnect from the world for a while!!

Winter Wonderland

Charlie, was kind enough to accommodate my special request. It was absolutely perfect, we had a lovey Christmas in the woods and the kids had a fantastic time playing in the snow. Charlie was a great host. He was very accommodating. The house had everything you needed. From activities to the well stocked kitchen. The only thing you need to bring is your food. The lodge runs on solar power but honestly you wouldn't even know, it really didn't effect how we went about the day. There is so much to do there that I never heard my 4 grankids say I am bored. As for the 4 adult children they constantly were entertained by what the lodge had available. We never left the property because there was so much to do there. Thank you Charlie.

Mid June vacation

Very nice secluded vacation home. Charles was very helpful. We were able to catch a few Northern Pike following his advice. The 2 fishing boats provided are on the small side. Kids enjoyed the beach, riding the trails and camp fires.

Wonderful! Peaceful & perfect family friendly getaway!

Vacationed at Charlie's Lodge in July with my husband and four children ages 9, 8, 6, & 4. Everything was wonderful. If you're looking for a remote and peaceful get-away-from-it-all vacation, this place is for you! We only left the property once to get some groceries. There was so much to do! Charlie was very attentive and helpful. We definitely plan to come back!

R & R at Poplar Lodge

Charlie is the perfect host! Our family has had a very busy, hectic year and we all needed some time away to rest. The lodge was very clean and well organized. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen in all of our VRBO stays. Charlie's directions to the lodge were spot on. A beautiful relaxing place to rejuvenate and recharge. Charlie went above and beyond to make our stay the best. Definitely will want to come back again!

Great property and house

Charlie is good people all the way. The property has the most amazing views. I will be back there one day with my family when grandkids are older. I am group leader of 8 guys that go on excursion every year and to a man this was the best place we have stayed. The home owner is available to help and offer any tourist suggestions. A plus place. Just hope it is available when i want to go back.

Was great! Was able to just have family time which is what we wanted. House had everything we needed. Lake was more beautiful in person, could just sit on deck for hours. Boys fished for hours at a time and loved it. Everyone wants to come back next year. Thanks Charlie!
