This beautiful, 1650 square foot loft-like space is the entire second floor of a two story duplex. Conveniently located in Corktown, the oldest neighborhood in Detroit, which is a short walk, bike, or drive to all there is to experience in the heart of the city.
The space
The owner of the home is a long time resident of the neighborhood and has decorated the space with an eclectic collection of local art and relics from Detroit's past. The visual effect of the decor lends a historic feel to the modern space despite the fact that no original features of the house remain due to fire. The house was originally built in 1893 and suffered a fire in the 1990's which led to the rebuild and renovation that you can experience here today.
