The cabin was very clean and we were greeted by a very friendly furry gal named Yoka who spent most of her time on the porch the entire time we were there. It was well supplied with towels, dishes, etc.and a spectacular view. The hostess was very respectful of our privacy but was available promptly when we needed dish soap. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet retreat.

The property is beautiful. I loved waking up and drinking my coffe while taking in the view. The cabin was cozy and nice and has everything you need to make your stay great. I will return for sure.

Great Little Cabin

Great little cabin, clean, good communication with owner. Friendly dog. Spotted an Eagle across the river. A few small improvements would help even more, trim back the pathway to the cabin and concrete the pathway so as not to have to carry luggage from parking area. Otherwise nice place and relaxing place to stay.

Rainy wknd oasis

We had a great time at the Hilltop cabin - we had a very rainy weekend and yet still enjoyed the escape. Fun to explore the area and otherwise enjoy the River view from a cozy setting. Suzanne was incredibly responsive - had a few hiccups with a window leak (again, so much rain) and starting up the heating. Great spot, hope the return for a sunny stay so the porch can be enjoyed.

A lovely spot

Late May visit: lots of sky on view from this perch! Great for birdwatching/listening, with nesting catbirds, yellow warblers, mourning doves and even a pair of orioles :) The cabin has all the amenities, very nice, private outdoor space and the hosts were helpful and friendly. Don't miss visiting the nearby Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Peaceful!

The cottage is lovely and beautifully located above the Oldman River with a great view to the west which makes watching the sun set fabulous. Oh those prairie skies!

Beautiful and Peaceful

The cabin and scenery were simply beautiful, and amenities are fairly close by. We enjoyed our stay and so did our dog. The host responded very quickly to questions, all while respecting our privacy. We will be recommending to friends and family and plan to be back. Thank you!

Yoka (the dog) is the greatest unexpected bellhop. She took time to show us around and walked us all the way to the door of the cabin to ensure we made it safely. She is so proficient at her job that she was actually quite comfortable coming on in and showing us around. The cabin is adorable, and the view is amazing but Yoka was the best amenity

If Hill Top cabin is available; book it! The view of the Old Man River, and rolling hills are my favourite. The cabin has everything you could want for a weekend get away. Privacy, quiet, bird watching, and peace. The full kitchen made meal times easy, so there was no need for takeout food at all. The furniture and beds were comfortable; felt like I was at home. We had a special guest come by checking on us; a beautiful Burmese Mountain Dog. Happy, friendly, and liked to receive our scritches and scratches. This pup made sure to say good-bye to us, as well! This will be the place I will try to rent every trip I take to Ft. MacLeod area. To me and my sister, it felt magical. I found it would sleep 3 people comfortably; 1 double in the loft, and a single in the side room. The one couch could be a good sleep spot for a 4th if they don’t mind.
