Less than 10 minutes off of Interstate 77, UoSC, Fort Jackson, Sesquicentennial State Park & Historic Downtown Columbia are only a 20-30 min drive. Downtown Columbia boasts some of the best restaurants in the state. I would be more than happy to provide recommendations for restaurants or children’s activities so your little one(s) can also have a memorable experience. Studio is conveniently located in a family-friendly, quiet suburban Lake community in Columbia SC with grocery stores and gas stations within minutes. Enjoy a night in equipped with movie screen and projector, then finish the night by melting your worries away into the incredibly comfortable king size memory foam bed. Let our all-in-one washer/dryer do the work for you and wake up to a finished cycle and sounds of South Carolina’s beautiful native birds.

The space
Studio is a cozy 450 square foot 1 bedroom and 1 bath area. You have a full kitchen with stove/oven, microwave and toaster, coffee/bar area, living room includes a large comfortable futon that converts to a full size bed as well as an electrical movie screen and projector to sit back and relax, coffee table lifts for remote work (if needed) as well as a large console for dining or additional remote working area, bathroom includes a standup shower with homegrown eucalyptus plant. Finally, in the bedroom you will find a king size cooling gel memory foam mattress with a solar powered skylight right above the bed (watch the stars at night or enjoy endless amounts of natural sunlight during the day).

Full access to the studio apartment. Studio is located above the garage, up the stairs. Please be aware, backyard are not guest-accessible.
Please enter/exit premises through the private back alley and park in-front of the garage.

Please note, Host’s home is located on premises across from garage/studio apartment.

Upon entering studio, please remove shoes and place them inside the blue storage bench located to your immediate right.
Quiet hours start at 10pm until 8am Monday - Thursday, and 11pm until 8am Friday - Sunday.
Please close wooden gate when entering/exiting premises. We board dogs in the main house so from time-to-time you will see them :-).

Wonderful Studio!

This studio was perfect! It was clean and super comfortable. Raul was so easy to work with. Check-in and check-out were effortless. I highly recommend this little cozy haven!

Sweet charming bliss

Our first reaction upon walking into this space is literally a joint sigh of relaxed bliss. Everything is neat, clean, fresh, unique, and artsy/classy. Every possible desire is anticipated and provided for, with a friendly smile from Raul (bearing fresh towels) promising to bring anything we need. We need nothing. Thanks for a peaceful, lovely stay.

Cozy, clean spot in a cutie neighborhood!

We were in the area for a family wedding and this was the closest we could get to the venue area (about 15-20min north). It was a nice, quiet, clean spot to relax between the events. The bed was cozy and the kitchen was well-equipped. Our two-year-old loved the big projector screen for some morning Ms Rachel videos! ;) Raul was easy to communicate with and super helpful. Neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed walks with our kiddo (sadly he didn't get much playtime at the park with everything going on, but it's nice!). Only thing is that it's a haul from the downtown Columbia area, so leave extra time if you plan to go there. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay very much!

A Welcoming Treat!

I planned a quick mother daughter trip to celebrate my daughter’s upcoming birthday and chose this rental last minute. We were delighted the moment we walked in the door to the jazz music lightly playing in the background. The guest house was tastefully decorated and complete with so many personal touches you couldn’t help but feel welcomed. We loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat!

Beyond Phenomenal

In my mind two things make a great Vrbo experience: (1) the house itself and (2) the property owner. Let me just say: We had a GREAT Vrbo experience staying here! The house was very clean and comfortable and had so many nice additional touches. You could tell someone had spent some time thinking through how to make our stay in the rental relaxing and enjoyable. It was located in a quiet and upscale area, so we felt safe there as well. Raul (the property owner) was responsive to our questions (very communicative) both before and during our stay. He treated us in a friendly manner and not like we were just someone staying in his rental. We are very thankful we found this place. Thank you, Raul.

A Gem!

Ok there’s so much to say about this place! First off, Raul is a pleasant host, extremely attentive and thoughtful. My husband & I booked his guest house based solely on my communications with him, as he had yet to receive any reviews on VRBO. I sensed his sincerity and was not disappointed. This guest house is I M M A C U L A T E !!! Everything is clearly labeled, thoughtfully placed, adequately stocked. We arrived about 10pm and opened the door to such warm & welcoming ambiance with soft lighting and music playing in stereo to a screen displaying a fireplace and peaceful scenery. The decor is current and beautiful, and while the space is small, it’s very accommodating and cozy with a comfy king sized bed. There are plenty of stark white, fresh towels and I was especially grateful that all towels and bedding did not wreak of chemically fake scents ... a HUGE blessing for someone like me who is hyper sensitive to chemical odors. They smelled like nothing which how my laundry smells, just plain clean. I could sense this owner cares about health. The neighborhood is really cool, upscale and quiet. We felt very safe and secure, and could park right outside the house. We will 100% stay there again!
