Nice place to stay

Nice place to stay, quiet, clean and close to everything. Only negative thing to say is a little maintenance is needed...change out the bad light bulbs. Overall a really good experience and would rent again!

Perfect for our family

Directions and check-in instructions were received timely. No issues accessing home. Accommodations were found as advertised. My email exchanges with David were informative and timely. We really enjoyed our stay in Tickfaw. It was a home away from home. Hope to stay again in the near future. Thank you.

Dishwasher would not work. Heads up. We barely made any mess. Back bathroom baseboards and floor could have been cleaner. Everything else was great !

Everything We Needed

The Villa was a perfect overnight stop for 4 adults traveling through the area. It was perfectly clean and convenient to I 55. It was quite a step up from hotels in the area.

Great place to stay

Probably the best rental I've ever stayed at. Very well kept and comfortable. Owner is quick to respond to messages. I will definitely try to book that when in the area again.

Good spot, bad check in

The unit was fine and definitely an oasis with nothing else around. Few small things were that the master toilet is loose and rocks. Needs to be tightened down. Also no creamer provided for the coffee. If you're going to set out coffee you need all the fixins. The main problem was the check-in process. Never received anything and heard nothing after sending two messages to the host through the VRBO system. Arrived at the unit with no way to get in but luckily the back door was unlocked. Finally heard from The Host about 30 minutes later and after two and a half hour delay. He was very apologetic and said the VRBO system it's terrible about sending out the automated message.

Perfect Place

This was a perfect place to stay for a friends wedding in the area. Able to share with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for less than hotel room. So comfortable and David was nice enough to let us check in an hour early!

Exactly what we needed!

We where in the area for a wedding and this rental was perfect for what we needed! So much better than a hotel. Quiet area and nice setting. The home itself was well furnished and very comfortable. We would rent here again.

Great location

Loved our stay in tickfaw the house was great. The kitchen had everything we needed and the linens were nice. We ate at Middendorfs while staying in tickfaw and loved it. Especially the thin fried catfish.

Family of 4

Our stay was relatively comfortable. I would recommend house shoes or socks. The floors I believe are concrete so depending on time of year may be chilly. My kids ages 8 and 3 were afraid to take a bath due to a crack near the tub drain. I ended up showering them in the master bath. David was easy to communicate with. The place was easy to find and close to the highway.

Great country retreat

We stayed for a wedding up in Amite and were SO glad we went this route. The privacy and homey feel were lovely. We were really able to relax and unwind here. The washer and dryer were a huge plus, as well as the full sized fridge for leftovers. It is a rental so it could always use a little extra cleaning or maintenance, but overall the condition was very good. Convenient location, in the country but not too far from anything you need up the road. I don’t know if we would ever have a reason to come back but we sure would be quick to book this stay again if given the opportunity! Thanks for a great stay.

Hammond Overnight

The house was perfect for a last minute overnight need during the hurricane aftermath. Location to SLU was very convenient for my daughter and the owner was very responsive. Totally recommend.

Bring it, you'll need it

Quaint place but should you think you will need it, you should bring it! We asked for propane and grilling tools, quick response from owner on getting them,, and received a tank that was empty when we attached to grill, the tools came the following day. There are no saucepans and the skillets are sketchy. We are used to homes with some of the same amenities as home, not like staying In a hotel.
