Old Mill Cabin #2 - on the Little MO River, large yard, bunk room!

Luxury log cabin -- we use the term loosely! This is a modern country home! The Old Mill Cabin #2 is located on the Little Missouri River just one mile north of the Crater of Diamonds State Park, one of the only places in the world where the public can search for real diamonds in their original volcanic source. Our property is located on the site of the historic Royston Grist, Lumber and Textile Mill. Fully furnished with all the amenities of home.

The space
Make yourself at home in the living room with 2 couches, chair and big screen TV. Don't want to watch TV? There's an assortment of board games for you to enjoy!

Old Mill Cabin #2 has a master bedroom with queen bed, recliner, and private full bath.

Bedroom #2 is the bunk room with a twin over full and twin over twin beds.

Bedroom #3 has a queen bed and shares full hall bath with Bedroom #2.

Also, in the hallway is a full size washer and dryer for your convenience. Both bathrooms have linens and hairdryers available.

Spacious front deck with new Razorback red Polywood chairs for your relaxation!

The spacious back deck has a dining table, chairs and propane grill. Plenty of acreage for the kids to play, take a nature walk or just sit and enjoy the wildlife that visits often. There is also a charcoal grill by the firepit for your use!

The Little Missouri River is just a short walk through the trees or drive around to the parking lot just down the way.

Other things to note
There is no hunting allowed on the property. Just sit back and watch the wildlife walk into the yard. Any hunting on the property will be prosecuted. We do not allow metal detecting on our property; this is an agreement between us and the Historical Society. Please leave metal detectors at home. Violation of this rule will be grounds for termination of rental. There are plenty of activities to do in the area -- Dos Broz Arcade Park, Diamond Mine, Diamond Springs, Dino Dig, Ka-Do-Ha Indian Village, water sports, shopping and more!

Pike County is a dry county.

We really enjoyed our stay here. I would definitely recommend staying here very comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the occasional wildlife and the area was safe and quiet. I wish checkout time was a little later however I understand wanting to make sure the place is ready for the next guest as I used to host short term rentals but i still would allow 11am checkout. That would be the only thing I'd change other than that it was fantastic definitely 5 stars!

Stay for Mine Bonus river access

Great Place!

Very comfortable cabin, not too far of the beaten path. Only suggestion to make better is more pillows in bedroom and maybe a mob. Thanks for allowing us to rent it.

It was a nice quiet place. We all enjoyed the stay. The only complaint was when we pulled the sheets off the day we left the mattress was all stained and worn out

Lovely Cabin

This cabin was perfect for our big family, we especially enjoyed being able to wake up and looking out the front windows to see deers in the morning. This was a great place as our base as we went to state parks and the Ka-Do-Ha Indian Village. The property manager was quick for on responding to questions/phone calls.

Love it

This property was perfect for my family. Honestly we didn't have to go out in town if we wanted. There is a river within walking distance that we spent hours at almost every day.

River/Mine

Close to the river and the diamond mine. The place was well laid out. Internet could be better but we didn’t stay inside very much. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful cabin.

The property was beautiful and clean. Wifi was spotty and couldn’t get into Netflix. There were games and movies for the kids to watch though .

Arkansas is Underrated and the Cabin is Perfect!

Cabin was lovely and quiet. Serene setting close to the Little Arkansas River. We enjoyed being secluded, yet not far from town. Locals were friendly. Only things I didn't like, cabin didn't have house number and I would have liked more cleaning products which aren't really that big of an issue. Management company was also more than helpful every step of the way. Would love to come back.

Old Mill Cabin stay

We couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. The cabin was fully stocked. It was very clean and smelled wonderful. The grounds around the cabin were mowed & clean. The cabin was just a short walk from the river. We saw so many deer we lost count. There even deer in the yard. It is close enough to town, Crater of Diamonds & Lake Greeson. We will be back.

Great Place!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean!!! Would definitely go back. The only thing that did not work was the internet, which was basically okay. It forced the kid's to be more social. However, if anyone needed to try and do any work while they are there, it will not work.

Loved the cabin

The cabin was beautiful!!! Very peaceful. The WiFi didn’t work the whole 4 days we were there which is why I gave the overall a 4 star…. When you bring kids on vacation you depend on having something to entertain them and also needed the WiFi to be able to use our phones. We had to drive a mile down the street just to be able to use the phone

Quiet

It was very quiet and we were able to see deer every morning and evening. There were supplies that were helpful for going to the diamond mine. This is in a dry country, which we did not know. Also, there is no grocery store in town, so plan ahead. The Wi-Fi did not work well, but this is not surprising being so rural.
