Beautiful place in a natural reserve. It comes with a family who live on the property and operate as staff, Miriam, David and Freddy, cooking meals if you pay for that option, cleaning up, etc. They're beautiful people and wonderful at what they do, the food is ok but ingredients, aside from the fruits, are mostly just ok. A lot of cheap Bimbo White Bread, precooked rice -- the special hot sauces and beans were delicious though. The area is nice, the beach is a bit depressing, full of garbage that floats down from Cancun area and a lot of weeds. We swam a few days we were there but it requires getting past that. Most of our time was spent just lounging around the property, near the pool, elsewhere, reading and relaxing, while Miriam and family prepared food for us. I think we could have done that for less money elsewhere, and it's not really our kind of vacation in general anyway. We're not really all-inclusive kinds of people unless there are a lot of fun activities. I got antsy, had hoped to body surf but that was not going to happen on those beaches, explore nature more and see the ruins. But the trip we took on a boat was pretty dull. Go find a dolphin and gather around in tourist boats, take pictures of a head poking out, then on to the next thing. Snorkling in very hazy waters, follow a sea turtle around in a boat for a bit, try to find a manatee. Not nothing, but we've done similar tours that were better in Florida and way better in places like Hawaii. Did scuba too..
