Cozy cottage overlooking Talahi Lake in Savannah GA with a pirate ship clubhouse

Ahoy! Want a family friendly place when visiting the Savannah/Tybee Island area? Located 15 minutes from downtown Savannah and also 15 minutes from Tybee Island, Shipwreck Cove can be found overlooking Talahi Lake.

Bring the whole family as we sleep 2 adults and up to 4 children. Whether you want to relax by the lake, take a spin on a kayak or canoe, let the kids play on our pirate ship playhouse, or make smores by the firepit, we are your place! Looking forward to you joining our crew!
The space
Open floorplan includes a queen bed, a queen murphy bed, and a sofa bed. All linens readily available in the cottage.

As you look out over Talahi Lake, you can watch the ships heading in and out of the Savannah port.

We are close to Kroger, Publix, Walmart, gas stations, liquor stores, restaurants, Rita's Italian ice, Bogeys bar and mini golf, Davis Produce, and so much more!
Other things to note
We are a family of 7 and have multiple dogs. The dogs will be separated from your area, but you may see them or hear them saying "Hello!"

My Fiancé and I stayed here over the 4th of July and had a GREAT experience! The homeowners were very friendly, thoughtful, and quick to respond to any necessary messages. Definitely plan to come back when we are in the area again!!

Super cool spot!

This was by far one of our favorite places to stay when we travel to Tybee. It was extremely clean and the AC was ice cold. The location is perfect for us without being in bad traffic. Beautiful neighborhood. The scenery was amazing and everything we needed was provided to make the trip enjoyable, even bug spray! I'd definitely stay here again!

Great for a short stay

We only stayed 2 nights, and we had lots to do around the area. Only complaint would be the water out back was so full of algae and plants that we didn’t even attempt to get in. The pirate ship was under construction and the washer and dryer were out of service. It wasn’t a huge deal for us, since our stay was short and we spent most of our time out and about anyway. It was a cozy place to lay our heads at night and the host was very easy to get ahold of when we needed something.

Perfect Spot

Stayed here two years in a row. A perfect location that is close to the beach and close to the city. Worth it for just the sunrise alone! Host is fantastic

Fantastic!!

A charming home with everything we needed in a great location! We were splitting our time between a convention in Savannah and fun at the beach in Tybee Island and this cottage was relatively close to both! Kristen was so kind and accommodating, responding very quickly to me any time I said anything, and our kids are obsessed with the pirate ship in the backyard. When we come back to Savannah, I’ll definitely be checking here first!!

Very unique property in a great location 15 min from historic Savannah and fro Tybee beaches. Lakeside property with pirate ship clubhouse great for kids. Decoration was great and place was very cozy.

Stop looking and BOOK THIS!

This super quiet neighborhood was a perfect getaway for my husband and I with our second birthday boy! Shipwreck Cove was an absolute delight to stay at! Kristin has made a cozy little cottage with EVERYTHING! you need! The back yard has a wonderful ship treehouse that our son loved! The beds were super comfy! Large bath room with tub shower combination!! The kitchen was stocked to the gills with all appliances needed!! I cant recommend this amazing cottage more!!!

Birthday getaway

Very cute and clean cottage with an amazing view of the water. I arrived to a birthday banner and personalized note from Kristin. What a great welcome to my first trip to Savannah. She answered any questions I had and even offered great ideas to do and check out in town. I will def stay here in the future. It was in a great neighborhood about 15 minutes from Tybee Island and another 20 mins to Savannah in the other direction.

We loved this property. 15 minutes to the beach and 15 minutes to downtown Savannah. Beautiful lake view, the host is amazing and helped us with anything we needed. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again for sure!

Stop searching and stay here

This place was awesome. My husband and I stayed with our 22 year old daughter on our way to relocate her from NWPA to Jacksonville. Natalie loved the space. We were able to easily drive into Savannah to explore as well as Tybee Island. Kristin and her son were so sweet, welcoming us with a frozen treat. The view of the water was lovely at sunrise. I took a walk on the road in the early morning without feeling unsafe at all. The space was clean and had little extras like spices in the kitchen and necessities in the bathroom. Looking forward to returning maybe next Spring for a girl’s weekend. The only bad thing about this is I wish it was in Jacksonville so I could stay when I visit my daughter. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Well done.

Perfect and hidden gem

Situated perfectly between Tybee and Savannah, this cottage was far and away better than any local hotel. It was a perfect place for our three under 10 kids who played on the pirate ship or went kayaking when we weren’t at the beach. Place was beautiful, clean, extremely well stocked and our host was great. Highly recommend.

Nice Cottage

This is a nice and clean guest house conveniently located between Tybee Island and downtown Savannah. The host was very welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay here!

Beautiful cottage in a quiet neighborhood centrally located between Savannah and Tybee Island

From the minute we walked through the door for the first time we instantly felt at home. Kristin has the cottage decorated beautifully and has it stocked with everything you could possibly need for a great vacation. The location is perfect with it being 15 minutes to both Savannah or Tybee Island. Kristin was so responsive and helpful with any and all questions we had during our stay and gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The lake front setting is absolutely breathtaking and made for a very relaxing experience. We will definitely recommend this cottage to any and all friends or family looking for a place to stay in the Savannah/Tybee Island area.

Originally from cold, snowy Northeast Ohio, we've been in the south nearly 11 years & in Savannah for 6. I am a boy mama of 3, and although my hands are full, my heart is even fuller. We love living on the coast and love the history of Savannah itself. God has blessed us with the opportunity to share this beautiful place with our guests.

From the minute I saw our property online before purchasing it, I just knew it was our forever home. I love the quite neighborhood. I love the large trees all over the island and especially love the backyard of our home that allows for amazing sunrises over our lake. We can even see the large ships travelling in and out of the Savannah port at the end of the lake.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The time, thought and love put into the design of the cottage is obvious when you walk in the front door. I like to think we thought of everything! As a mama, I wanted to provide a place for families to travel to that was affordable and also a place that if you happened to forget something, we might just have it in there for ya already! The Pirate Ship clubhouse my boys have is incredible and they love to share it with our guests.
