Cute layout, good location, but in need of some repairs and cleaning
I stayed here for three nights visiting friends. The place was as described and a good location. Check in and out were easy. The layout of the house with the loft is cute as well. Very quiet. I noticed during my stay that there were some amenities and areas of the house that were in need of either refurbishment or repair. I'm not going to list them all obviously, but some of the major ones included the towel bar holding on to the wall by a screw so that when you tried to use it it fell off the wall and broke. The spiral staircase rocks back and forth slightly like the screws are loose on the floor. The knobs in the shower were so loose, one extra twist and they could come off in your hand. While these things did not drastically impact my stay, I wasn't exactly expecting these things and had some higher expectations. Drawers in the kitchen often came off the runners making it difficult to get things out of them. Overall the place is more worn than I expected. Several scuffs and peeling paint in places.I gave cleanliness 3 stars because of the above, but also the upstairs felt like it hadn't been cleaned super well. While the bed, toilet, and bathtub were clean, I often found clumps of lint and hair on the shower mat and throughout the upstairs. In general it felt like the place could have used a good dusting/better cleaning. Overall a mixed review and impression, if there had not been some of the worn amenities and the cleanliness stuff I would have given it 5 stars!
