This old home was built in 1902 with most original woodwork. At one time, a bed and breakfast. This old home is comfortable, spacious and unique. The home is a few blocks from downtown and the confluence of the St Croix and Mississippi Rivers.

Alternative to staying at Treasure Island

Property was as advertised and perfect for our group of 4 couples; 4 private rooms bathrooms and plenty of space to hangout. We went to a concert at Treasure Island and this location was a great spot to stay.

Family stayed here for 1 night to get ready for a wedding. It was very roomy and had everything we needed. Would stay again! Beautiful old woodwork!

Older but nice

We enjoyed our stay. Older home but clean. Shower was touchy/tricky. All in all reminded me of the 1916 home I grew up in:beautiful woodwork with a slightly creaky floor. We would stay there again.

Everything was great. A little older home. Smallest refrigerator would be the only take backs. Everything was clean and comfortable. Jilleen was quick to respond to messages and help with anything we needed.

10 minute walk to downtown Prescott. The bar b que grill was not working other than that, would definitely recommend staying at this property.

Solid choice

3 friends and I were in town for a golf outing followed by hanging in downtown Prescott. Being able to walk there and back was great. 12 minutes. Place was as described and a great value. Cool, old house. Communication w/ Jill was truly superb. Would recommend.

Overall the place is very cute and charming, really a beautiful home. I was disappointed the fridge didn’t work but there were two other small ones that we were able to get most of our things in. Some dust. But like I said an old beautiful house - a little dust never hurt anybody. We loved it.

The home itself was a beautiful old home. Our issues were that there were several things not updated in the listing, such as fireplaces not usable, main fridge out of order and one of the jet tubs didnt plug and hold water. Our real problem came when we tried to reach out to the host afterwards and mention our slight disappointment at those things, to be met with anger and defensiveness, and then false accusations at us.

I had two issues with this guest. They brought a pet and did not pay the pet fee. There were no false accusations. The living room daybed comforter had a huge rip in it. Which was not present prior to her stay, as I do all the cleaning myself. She never did pay for the pet fee or the comforter that was ripped. On the edge of the tub, sits shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and two extra tub stoppers. Clearly visible. The fireplaces are going to be switched over to electric fireplaces as my insurance company will not allow the use of gas or wood fireplace for insurance reasons because of the age of the home. There was no defensiveness. She denied the rip in the comforter, never paid a pet fee and there were two additional tub stoppers on the edge of the tub which were clearly visible.

Title

Although the house had a lot of character, it appeared to have settled and had a mouse problem. This is a shared property, which we didn't know and there is a common space if you plan to do any cooking/laundry.

The fridge was out of order and I was not forewarned about it. Spiders and centipedes in a bedroom. In one shower on the main floor the water pressure was horrible and was either freezing cold or way too hot. The gas grill was very dirty.

One of the main reasons we chose this house was its location—we were hosting a wedding next door and needed the kitchen, refrigerator space, and sleeping accommodations. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the main refrigerator had a note saying it was out of service and that we should use the small fridge instead. This created a big challenge, as we had planned for large amounts of food. We ended up relying on neighbors and buying coolers to make things work. Had we known in advance, we could have prepared differently.The house itself is beautiful and spacious, with very nice bedrooms and bathrooms. However, the yard felt overgrown, some light bulbs were out, and there was a bit of dust. With a little more upkeep, this home could truly shine.

Disappointed

Property was full of weeds outside and not very clean inside. Coffee maker was covered with mold. We booked it for Friday and Saturday night but everyone left early on Saturday. We'll never book another trip through this site

Misleading listing

This property is a duplex. That should be disclosed in the listing. Compared to other VRBOs we’ve stayed at, this one is lacking in the kitchen. Not well stocked with spices,pans, utensils, ziplocks, etc. The house is so slanted that we couldn’t even sit in the dining room.
