Hale Ono Loa 109 is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom ground-floor corner condo featuring stunning ocean views and an expansive lanai. This unit does not have air-conditioning. The condo can accommodate up to 6 guests with a king size bed in the master bedroom, a queen size bed in the guest bedroom, and queen sleeper sofa bed in the living area. Inside you will find modern furniture with coastal blue touches, a large flat-screen tv and high-frequency ceiling fans.

Retreat to the master bedroom with a King size bed and premium linens. The upgraded master ensuite bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower. Off of the living room is the guest bedroom with a queen size bed. The guest bathroom includes a walk-in shower. On the expansive private lanai, unwind and enjoy meals al fresco with a dining table for 6, 2 lounge chairs, 4 additional chairs, and the mesmerizing oceanfront view. The updated kitchen is fully equipped with full-size stainless-steel appliances.

The condo information did note "no air conditioning" and I thought I was OK with that BUT it is a very HOT unit, sun beats on the outside wall all day. The unit has beautiful views BUT we didn't enjoy them much because we had all the shades closed and MANY fans blowing to try and keep the unit cool. Great location, property etc. but the stuffiness of the unit did not do well for us.

Five star experience

We carefully searched for weeks for the best condo for our needs. The pictures of 109 Hono Loa were beautiful and the corner oceanfront view a major plus. We had a seamless arrival and used the key pad for entry. The condo was absolutely perfect in every way for us. Yes, it gets afternoon sun and can be warm. There are many fans to help keep the air flowing and we were always able to cool down with that. Eating outside on a spring evening can be warm but again with fans, it’s tolerable. We slept comfortably each night and the ocean can be heard with open windows. The condo wasn’t super stocked with condiments etc but it didn’t stop us from cooking at the condo and enjoying all amenities it had to offer.Sunrise and sunset from the condo were perfect and we had whales and turtles within plain sight every day. Theres an ABC store, coffee shop, snorkel and supply rental and Maui fish market within walking distance as well as a small beach and playground for the kiddos. Just up the road was captain jacks for a happy hour snack or any meal out. We highly recommend the location and can’t wait to go back!

Breathe taking views but NO privacy

We had a pleasant stay overall. The unit is beautifully designed, tastefully equipped, and offers breathtaking views. However, there is a major issue regarding privacy. The listing emphasizes “privacy” multiple times, but this is misleading. Throughout the day, other residents were walking through what we initially believed was our private space. When I contacted Perfect Stays, they clarified that the grassy area is shared among all residents.This lack of privacy is particularly problematic given the unit’s floor-to-ceiling glass walls, which are stunning for the view but leave you feeling exposed unless you keep the blinds closed. If you’re not bothered by strangers nearby, this may not be an issue, but for private individuals like us, it was disappointing and would have influenced our decision to book.Additionally, the unit accommodates six people but only provides two sun loungers, which felt insufficient. The mattresses were also too soft for our liking, though this may come down to personal preference.If true privacy is a priority, I recommend booking a standalone house rather than this type of rental. While the unit has many positives, clearer communication in the listing about shared outdoor spaces would have set better expectations.

The view is awesome and the apartment is clean and well maintained. The biggest issue is the main bed mattress - it is in horrendeous condition and gave us a terrible back ache every night. it needs to be changed.

Very cute condo.

We stayed at this condo when the Lahaina fires happened and overall, it was a very nice and cute condo. It was right on the ocean and it was beautiful. Since the fires took out the electricity, we wished this condo provided flashlights or candles for us during our stay. The property manager did stop by to check on us and alerted us. We left early due to his recommendation and the severity of Lahaina’s situation. Cleanliness: The floors need a lot of work. There was a lot of orange dust everywhere and left our socks, feet and shoes orange and it was hard to get off. First bedroom closest to the entrance, had two dead mini flies and had a little bit of hair left behind. We wished things were a little cleaner here. Utensils: We appreciated all the appliances that this condo provided but it looks like they need new ones, the pans looked super used. Overall, the location was great and it was beautiful but it needs a lot of work when it comes down to the cleanliness.

Beautiful condo!

The ocean view from the condo was amazing! The pictures capture the true feel. We really felt like we had an extension to the living space due to the outside lanai and grassy area. Sliding glass door with multiple panels was very cool. Condo was well stocked with kitchenware, towels, starter shampoos and snacks. Very welcoming! There were also beach chairs and boogie boards available for use. We stayed in February so the temperature was fine. I worry that it might be hot in summer. We slept with our windows open, and although the bedrooms are not on the ocean side, we could hear it all night. I loved it. Lovely condo. Highly recommend!

Fantastic views from a beautiful day place

The property is very high spec and comfortable. The views from the patio are fantastic, being right next to the sea. We saw turtles in the sea a couple of times. The nearest beach is very pleasant, and you’re only a short drive to some of the larger, well known beaches, Lahaina town, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone!

This place was a dream!

I was worried that it wouldn’t be as good as the pictures, but it was! This was a work/vacation and we could not have picked a better place. We did not want to leave the unit. What a view! One of the best vacation condos I’ve stayed in. Wish I could go back, soon!!!!

Great Views!

This place was perfect for our group of five. We enjoyed the amazing views and outdoor area to hang out. Although there is no AC we didn’t have any issues with keeping the rooms cool during the day and night. If we make it back to Maui again this will be our go to place to stay.

Fabulous Condo

There were 4 people that stayed at this beautiful location. The unit is on the end with a private outdoor area that we spent most of our time. Views are incredible, sunsets and rainbows were beautiful. The unit was clean with 4 beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and scuba gear to use at the beach. Although it did not have air condition we were very comfortable with the Ocean breeze and fans. It's a magical place to stay and we would all come back!

The property is more appropriate for a couple of small family.

Layout was awkaard for two couples. Pictures make it appear larger than it a actually was. Screens needed repair. Bathroom shower drain was clogged. Microwave was broken. If you need air conditioning, this is not the place for you. Attempts were made to correct. Watching the turtles every day was the best part of this condo right on the water.

The Edge of Paradise

A very unique spot on the property not only being right on the ocean but also having an outdoor a relatively spacious outdoor area with plush grass, loungers and comfortable outdoor dining space. Stunning sunsets! We lounged outside each night before bed and observed the tranquility of the nights sky and rolling waves. Unit does not have AC and there is not always the constant breeze you would expect but there are plenty of ceiling and floor fans to keep you comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing Views !

Excellent property in a fantastic location. It was very hot during our stay and the absence of aircon was a concern - however with the doors all open there was a decent breeze which made it bearable. Overall would be very happy to stay there again.

Beautiful Unit, Gorgeous Views

Great place and fantastic waterfront views of the ocean. In hindsight, I do wish it had air conditioning… even with the windows open and fans blowing, the unit was VERY warm at night (mid 80s). However, the unit itself was lovely and the views of the ocean made this unit worth the price.

Incredible location right on the water

We absolutely loved this condo for our family Hawaii trip. It was our first trip to Hawaii and we wanted to avoid the resort life and live more local, this location helped us to achieve that. Being right by the water we had amazing views at all times (TURTLES), could hear the waves crashing at night while we slept, really overall it was exactly what we needed for our family of 3. My only "complaints" are that we did not have hot water the first 4 days or so, it really was only luke warm during this time and there wasn't anything that we were told that could be done; then suddenly day 5 the hot water appeared so something changed. Also most flights out of Hawaii back to the main land are red eyes; having the ability to even stay in our place till 1PM would have been a huge benefit vs. having to checkout at 10AM with our flight not happening until 9PM that night. When we asked about late checkout we didn't even get a reply. Otherwise I would highly recommend this location overall, Kaanapali is nuts busy but this spot helps it feel a little more comfortable.

Fabulous Ocean Views!

Loved the ground floor corner condo with sweeping views of the ocean. Lots of whale watching and turtle swimming just below us. Also saw a gigantic eel swimming just off the rocks. Fantastic location.

Fantastic view of the ocean

Overall we enjoyed our stay a great deal. The views are what make the place worthwhile, I think they were the best along the entire coast. We did have some inconveniences that included: - no hot water for our first 2 days - no working landline (batteries in phone were dead - I think), which for us was an inconvenience as we only had foreign cell phones and did not want to make long distance roaming calls - incorrect information from property manager regarding the washer/ dryer that no key is needed to enter when in fact it is needed and we had to borrow one from our neighbor.

Breathtaking sunsets and the sound of the surf!

A perfect holiday for our family! The house is immaculate and the location, ON THE SHORE, is amazing! We slept every night to the sound of the waves . . . missed the whales in early Nov. but tons of sea turtles and sunsets that take your breath away!! Thank you! We'll be back!!!
