Bring your furry friends along and unwind in the coziness of Dorie's Cottage, a charming pine-paneled abode tucked away in the woods on the eastern shore of Crescent Lake. Known for gorgeous sunsets, the property features a well-appointed kitchen, screened porch, deck with large grill, use of a canoe and kayak, and a 240v electric car charging outlet. There is now a Solo Stove at the property so you can enjoy s'mores by the water at night! The dock is perfect for catching some rays, swimming, and keeping your boat anchored while you birdwatch for loons, eagles, and kingfishers. For those who enjoy hiking, the Loon Echo Land Trust Raymond Community Forest hiking trails are easily accessible and lead to Pismire Bluff, offering a stunning panoramic view of the lake. The dock can accommodate boats up to 16', and the natural woods provide plenty of shaded areas for relaxing on a hot day. The path to the waterfront and dock is layered with bark mulch and steps, with the water being 1' deep at the rocky entry which gradually leads to a sandy bottom. The best swimming spot is right off the dock, so jump on in! If you're seeking a serene and picturesque vacation, full of swimming, boating, and relaxation, then Dorie's Cottage is the place for you!

Summer Fun at Dorie's Cottage!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Another vacation week this summer at Dorie's Cottage with our family was perfectly wonderful in every way! We all love this camp so much; it has everything that we could every want and more, and one of the best things is that from summer to summer, from the minute we all walk into the camp it's the same as it was from the previous summer, and we all feel like we're home! Crescent Lake is so clean and beautiful, as are the pair of eagles that we had the joy of seeing each day! The early morning walks are delightful and so peaceful, so quiet, like a slice of heaven. Our weather was perfect all week! Perfect for for tubing, swimming, fishing, nightly boat rides and camp fires - it was truly delightful from start to finish! We're always kind of sad to see the week come to an end and we're all already looking forward to next summer at Dorie's Cottage!

It is absolutely perfect for our family; plenty of sleeping space for everyone, a very well stocked kitchen with everything you need for cooking,the screen porch is the best and that's where we ate all of our meals, just looking out at the water - perfect! We really appreciate that there is also a washer/dryer; this is so helpful as being at a camp with our family and two grandkids who are in and out of the water all day can generate quite a bit of laundry!Our grandson and a few of us had some ping pong matches too, which was very fun!From the camp, it's a quick little trip over to one of the sandbars and that's very fun for swimming and playing too!We love Dorie's Cottage so much and already can't wait to be back next summer!

CLFAY Rental June 10 to June 17

Reviewer Comments: This is not my first time at CLFAY, I think it may be around closer to 15 times and each time has been great and each successive, the owners seem to have added touches that many other rental properties say on Cape Cod, never live up to improvements. You need batteries you got'em, soap for the washing machine is near the washing machine you got it, wine glasses for your wine got'em, coffee cups for the Keurig got'em, herbs for your food, and on and on. I must add that over the years, I have left corkscrews and other kitchen tools and I have a feeling that other people are doing the same.Keep it up!!!
