Cozy lakefront cottage with dock, close to skiing

With a long history of welcoming guests to Lake Horace since the 1950s, come to Windswept Cottage and enjoy a relaxing stay in a beautiful setting all year round. Fully renovated and restored to it's former rustic charm, with attention to details that renters will appreciate. You'll love long summer days taking advantage of the lake and relaxing on the dock or enjoying a firepit after a day in the sun. Come back to enjoy winter on the snowy trails of Pat's Peak, less than a 15 minute drive away.

The space:
Enjoy single story living in this cozy, renovated cottage with an open-concept floor plan and full kitchen, decorated with attention to detail that guests will appreciate. There are two separate living areas, each with comfortable seating and televisions, so families can relax and enjoy spending time together. Enjoy the views and your morning coffee from our spacious deck while listening to the loons, or relax in the lounge chairs on the dock while your family swims or fishes in the clear waters of Horace Lake.

We have a large canoe along with 2 adult-size and 1 child-size kayaks with lifejackets included if you want to explore more of the lake's natural beauty. When you need a break, curl up with a good book in the hammock, surrounded by nature at the edge of our large grassy yard. Wind down your evening by stargazing while roasting s'mores at our large firepit, right at the water's edge.

Other things to note:
This is a renovated historic 1920s cottage, and, while fully updated, there are some quirks. Our water source is from a well, and we have a Brita pitcher in the fridge available for your hydration needs. There is no dishwasher, but there is a dish rack and we encourage paper plates to help you spend less time cleaning up. There are fans in all of the rooms, as we do not have AC.

We are located in a neighborhood of lakefront homes, and we ask that you respect our neighbors by observing quiet hours between 10pm- 7am. No parties are allowed and there is no street parking available. Guests who do not respect quiet hours will be asked to leave without refund.
