Farmhouse, hot tub, sleeps 12

Maplewood Farmhouse is a lovely home on a working horse farm.  Located in Fowler, OH, about twenty minutes from Youngstown and YSU and three miles from the Youngstown Air Reserve Station.  Maplewood Farmhouse is sparkling clean and tastefully decorated and is the perfect gathering place for families.  On the main floor there is a bedroom with a king sized bed, a full bathroom, a living room with lots of natural light, a laundry room, and a fully furnished kitchen and a beautiful dining room.  Upstairs you'll find three bedrooms with queen sized beds, one bedroom with a set of single bunks, and a full bathroom.  Outdoors is a lovely patio area with a hot tub and nice front yard for your enjoyment. Since we are an equine boarding facility, we ask that guests refrain from entering any of the other buildings on the farm.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- We kindly ask that there are no fireworks, loud music, or rowdy behavior.

- Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM.

- Fire Pit will not be installed until the spring.

- There are two washers and three dryers available.

- Please be aware you will be charged 10% of the total trip at booking and the remaining 90% will be charged to the card on file, thirty days before check-in.

- Absolutely no pets. If a pet is discovered, there will be a $250 upcharge.

Overall we really loved the property, the location and the HORSES. There was plenty of supplies and necessitiesThe family room was beyond my expectations. The windows and proximity to the property views was extraordinary. The only rooms that really could use some tlc where the bathrooms. Very comfortable beds.

Great family getaway

The house was in a quiet area and very well cared for. The rooms were spacious and we had plenty of room for the family for our weekend Christmas. The owner was on site for the horses and was very helpful

This was a lovely old farmhouse on a beautiful, peaceful property. We were there for our parents' life celebration. It was spacious and overall very clean, except for a few issues that I prefer to speak with the owner about, as it wouldn't affect whether we would rent again or not. If you're looking to be out in the country, but with groceries/restaurants within 20 mins or so. This is the place for you.

Nice property

This was a very nice and very peaceful property. Just expect lots of traffic - as there is a horse farm that shares the property. Did not affect us at all, just suprised us. Overall, great property and great price.

Great getaway off the beaten path but still well located

We really enjoyed being set right in the middle of a horse pasture. So beautiful and quiet. The hot tub was nice and hot. The beds were comfortable. We had to bring our own soaps and shampoo for the showers so plan for that (walmart is only 15 min away). There was hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent and a well-stocked kitchen. There were some games and the internet was fast. The owner had to come replace the lock's batteries and was super nice and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay here. And Mosquito lake has a wonderful beach only 10 min away with grills and a playground. The kids had a blast there. One thing I would suggest though is for the owner to check on the water heater. The hot water smelled like sulfur. But maybe that's normal for the area?

Ringing in the New Year with friends

Overall our stay was great. We had three families together all totaling 6 adults and 6 children. Plenty of room and seating for 12 people to gather and be together. Pros: Nice open floor plan with lots of areas to gather. The hot tub was nice to have, we enjoyed using it. Bedrooms were very spacious and beds/pillows were comfortable. Lots of extra blankets were provided since this is an older farm house and it was very cold outside. For the most part, the house manager was quick to respond. Cons (for us): No TV. (Even though it was not listed in the Amenities' section, I feel it is important to note that there is NO TELEVISION in this home. We drove to Walmart and bought a TV so that we could keep the kids entertained and watch the ball drop on New Years. Luckily we were able to return the TV with no issue.) The dishwasher and oven were not usable due to a piece being broken on the dishwasher and a spill in the bottom of the oven that burned and caused smoke detectors to go off when we turned it on. (We did make the owner aware so these issues could be fixed for the next guests.) Overall, it was a great weekend with amazing friends.

Clean and nicely decorated. Beautiful country setting. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, which was the most important part of our visit. The hot tub was very pleasant!Not a big deal, but we were surprised that there were no televisions in the house. Water smell (sulpher) was as off putting, but understandable.
