NEW LISTING - FARMHOUSE --VERY CLOSE TO SNOWMOBILE TRAILS - VERY PRIVATE

This house sits on the North side of the PickleStone Ranch with over 100 animals. Located 1/2 way between Brimley and the Sault - this is a great private location. Snowmobile trail 8 is 1/4 mile away. Very new house just listed on VRBO in winter 2023. Although the Ranch is located on the adjacent property, you will have wild turkeys, Guinea Hens rabbits, deer, and other animals in your front yard on a daily basis so please be respectful. You can have accompanied access to other ranch locations on request that have Horses, ponys, Alpacas, Emus, Kune-Kune pigs, dwarf goats, ducks, chickens, Peacocks, Guinea, and much more. Unfortunately, due to all the ranch animals pets are not allowed. The main house also sits on the Picklestone Ranches 80 acres - but there is definitely privacy between the two houses.

Great for boat parking and and has a nice circle driveway. Just what we needed for a 10 day fishing getaway. Pickles is GREAT.

Wonderful place to stay with kids

The property is clean and specious. We enjoyed the stay as well as access to animals. Ken gave us the tour of his animal sanctuary and was very responsive to text messages. The area also has a lot to offer in terms of activities with kids or without.

Wonderful experience

We were pleasantly surprised by the animals next to the property. It was so fun seeing the horses, goats and emu! Great location, just a short drive to the Soo. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay

Had a nice size group come up for the races and came across this listing that worked perfect for what we were looking for. Great layout and price, not too far from town. Ken was a great host and was quick to answer any questions with the stay.

Lots of nice amenities. Comfortable and clean. Very quiet and beautiful setting. In Brimley for a wedding, great location about 1/2 way between Brimley & Sault Ste Marie.

Property was perfect. Came up for some side by side riding. The drive way made it easy to turn around, park and unload. Close to several trails. The house was clean and comfortable. Stayed with my husband, daughter, and daughters best friend. We each had our own space which made nights peaceful. Kitchen was large. The entire home was welcoming, just what you'd expect in North Country. We will be back!

Loved our stay. A friendly dog greeted us when we arrived. Enjoyed the wildlife and farm animals. Coffee pot didn't work, but we made do. Landscaping needed attention, but it didn't cause problems. Great communication with owners when I had questions or concerns, before and during stay. Plus it's 20 minutes from Sault Ste Marie. House was clean, big fluffy towels, extra blankets, big new refrigerator with ice marker, gas stove, a washer and dryer.

Family Road Trip

The place was spacious and comfortable for our three generation family road trip. We had some problems at check in, but the host was quick to communicate and did the best he could to help us out.

If you’re looking for a quiet place with no neighbors then this is the place to be. First off the picture as advertised is not even close. Very high weeds and tall grass. The house itself was really fine and very clean! You need to supply your own soap and shampoo but that’s fine. The farm was the highlight for us. Loved the goats,lamas,emues,and loved the horses. Not far from the Locks which was great. Yes We’d stay there again!

Had 8 of us stay for a high school fishing tournament on the St. Mary's River. Great place to crash at night after long days of fishing. Ken was by far the most responsive and helpful host we've rented from on VRBO. Will stay again if available next season!

We showed up on Wednesday, January 14 and there was water running across the kitchen floor. We immediately notified the host and his response was to give us towels to stop the flow of water until the plumber could come Thursday. The plumber never showed on Thursday and the host of the property Didn’t contact us again until Saturday. Only after I had asked where the hell the plumber was. I requested a partial refund from the property owner and he has now denied that request. I would not recommend renting any property from this host as he certainly does not care about your stay once you’ve paid for the rental.

Nice location, comfy stay

We had a great stay at this house. Google maps took us to the wrong house, not even on the correct road. Ken was great to direct us to the correct location. I did submit a ticket with Google and they have accepted my suggestion to be at the correct location, so hopefully it will be correct when you stay there! The air conditioner didn't work at first, but again Ken was able to step in and get it workin. Ken was great at responding and to answer any questions I had. My only complaint is that the front yard wasn't mowed so we were not able to enjoy having a fire at the fire pit.

Not Impressed

The house was not very clean at all when we got there. Had an old washing machine setting in the house. It was very dirty next to the fridge, under the table, and one toilet was very dirty. The lawn was not clean or cut. The fridge quit working while we were there and spoiled all the food. It took multiple days to get a replacement fridge. I would not recommend it to a friend.
