Just one street away to wilderness roads and wild horses! The herds of wild horses are beautiful. We have been within 25 feet as they enjoyed their watering hole. Watching the black stallion take charge of his herd was quite an experience!
Take an easy 5 minute drive to beautiful Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area and beautiful golf courses. Fool Hollow lake is a great place to relax, go fishing, kayaking, etc. There are numerous golf courses in the area to golf your heart out!
Enjoy the convenient community park, with playground, grass area, covered picnic area and restrooms. It is only an easy 1 block walk. The surrounding community allows for a charming stroll among the lovely cabins and pine trees. A wilderness trail is only 2 blocks down the road, where you can stroll into the woods and observe deer and wildlife.
The Sunrise Park Ski area, Arizona's largest, is an easy 46 mile drive from the condo. Besides skiing, mountain biking is available at the ski area or just take off from the condo on the network of dirt roads into the wilderness just about a block ride from the condo on Joe Tank Road.
Shopping is a convenient drive into town with the Safeway only 2.5 miles away. Show Low offers many quaint small businesses to shop as well as major shopping like Walmart. You should be able to find just about anything you need.
Need to eat out? No problem! There are numerous restaurants close by. Such as the Torreon country club or Buffalo Bills Tavern and museum. There are several local Mexican food restaurants nearby as well. Enjoy happy hour deals at Los Corrales Mexican restaurant. The food is generous, reasonable and quite tasty! Fast food is available with many chain restaurants as well as local operations. The town of Pinetop/Lakeside is an easy drive and offers a brewery and eateries.
