Kyle's Place is a relaxing retreat in close proximity to Smith Mountain Lake.

This lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath house has plenty of space inside and out for relaxing and enjoying the countryside while being less than 5 minutes to boat ramps for you to enjoy a day on the lake. It offers a very spacious dining and entertaining area or enjoy the large sectional outback on the covered deck with firepit and new grill. The front porch offers four rocking chairs with whiskey barrel tables to take in the wildlife of the area and wooded views. It also offers two more decks on the side of the house for a private outdoor area. The main floor has a queen bed and one bathroom shared with main floor. The upstairs bedrooms have king beds a shared bathroom and there is an upstairs sitting area/office desk as well.

The house was pristine. The bedrooms were perfect for our group of 6. The large dining room and kitchen made it easy to be together as a family while preparing and eating our meals. The back deck was so peaceful and lovely. One of my favorite parts of the house were the light switches in the bathroom. Not only did it have a light/fan but also a blue night light and a music button to hook up to your phone for bluetooth. The hosts were great and had a coffee station set up for us and also extra bathroom products incase we forgot anything. We would definitely stay there again. Don’t pass the place up if you are looking to stay in the Smith Mountain Lake area.

Woodland Retreat

We had a great stay. The property was exactly what we expected. The home was clean, spacious and nicely decorated with a woodland theme. The beds were comfortable, and the towels and sheets were a nice quality. Extra touches - toiletries and K-Cups, ground coffee, sugar -- were most welcome. Numerous outdoor spaces were available for relaxing and enjoying nature. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return some day.

Friends Getaway

I chose this property for a getaway weekend with my best friend. We wanted someplace quiet, comfortable and clean. Our goal was to make good food and read silently while being in the same room. We were able to achieve all of that due to the lovely property and its distance from any noise. The whole place was well stocked with supplies that allowed us to prepare all our desired meals and dine exactly the way we wanted to. The decks were lovely places to spend time during the cooler parts of the day. I booked the property, but my friend said it was the best rental property she's ever stayed in and she's got more extensive experience with these things than I. This house allowed us to do exactly what we wanted to with our weekend and we will definitely return in the future.

This place was located in a great location for what we needed. It had everything we needed. The home was well thought out and made it fill like home.

Relaxation

The house was very clean with lots of extras. Nice towels and linens for bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Hangers in the closets, throw blankets, coffee and snacks. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals and a few restaurants close by if we wanted to go out to eat. Firewood for the fire pit and a gas one on the deck if the weather didn't cooperate. You can barely see other houses through the trees and can sit on the back deck or front porch and watch the birds and deer. With the house on a end road, there was very little traffic passing by. We loved relaxing and just chilling here and will definitely keep it in mind for future trips.

Fantastic accommodations

The property was super nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay and will rebook when visiting family at Water’s Edge. Caryn was amenable to some changes we had to make for circumstances beyond our control. Highly recommend Kyle’s Place.

The host was very responsive and did a good job of anticipating the needs of the guest. To include toiletries, items on the coffee bar and snacks. The outdoor gas grill was very clean and had tools to use when cooking. I love the host had a space for our pantry items in the cupboards. Very comfortable home away from home.

Nice weekend stay

The house was as listed, super clean, had really comfortable beds and bedding, had any items necessary in the kitchen and clearly has been well maintained. We were in the area visiting family and it worked as a great base for our family. Communication was easy and prompt.

By the Lake

Great location in close proximity to Smith Mtn Lake and Waters Edge. Interior is like-new with great finishes. Very comfortable with lots of indoor and outdoor space. Quiet and relaxing.

Exceptional

The host went above and beyond to make sure our visit was relaxing and enjoyable. The house was impeccable and had a lot of extra amenities. We loved being so close to nature. Deer were in the yard almost every morning. I recommend this place to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

week of work

There was 3 of us doing a renovation job in the area. The house was beautiful. Had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Everything look brand new. The extra treats in the kitchen and supplies in the bathrooms were a nice touch. Would highly recommend this house and would rent again in the future.

Can’t Go Wrong

We were in the area for a wedding and needed a place to stay. Hotels were few and far in between. I just wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities of Kyle’s Place. Loaded with extras, including tooth brushes and snacks. Updated with current finishes and tons of connectivity, Kyle’s Place was like home away from home. With taxes and fees the price was a little steep but we felt the hosts over delivered.

Just Perfect

Four of us came in to fish a bass tournament on SML and found this gem of a house. We use VRBO's 5-6 times a year so it's always easy to tell how much effort the owners put into their houses and these owners are without a doubt , the best! The communications were immediately responded to, they had so many small details provided (toiletries, chips, snacks...) it almost felt like we were at a resort. The entire house was spotless and the pillows were better than the ones at my own house!! The location could not have been better if your looking for quite but close to everything on the western side of the lake. One warning: You had better like deer because 5-6 will be in your fron yard every morning!!!
