We stayed at this unit for nearly a week before discovering it was full of roaches and roach nymphs, a clear sign of an active infestation. They were crawling inside kitchen appliances and on the counters. The unit was in poor condition, the door is extremely hard to open and close because it is lopsided and unfixed. Most of the dishes were dirty; crusty forks, dirty cups, and pots and pans with over 70% of the Teflon coating flaked off. Roach carcasses were scattered throughout the apartment, making the quality of cleaning questionable. The throw blanket left on the couch was crusty and gross.The amenities were severely lacking. We were given about two tablespoons of heavily watered-down dish soap and a tissue box with only three tissues left. The shower supplies consisted of a less than half full bottle of Suave Kids 3-in-1—no separate shampoo, conditioner, or soap. One shower door was labeled “Please do not use this door ;)” with no explanation, despite the door working fine.We constantly heard the neighbors above us day and night. Cars parked directly in front of our window with headlights on, blinding us at night. The bedroom heater/AC looks far past its service life and was too loud to sleep with on.The surrounding area is not the safest - there was a homeless man living in a Nissan Quest parked in front of the property all week.

The host was very quick for assistance/responses. The unit was clean and tidy. The bed is incredibly comfy. The bathroom is an awkward step up into the room with a bit of a slippery surface. Broken sliding door - you could only use one side. The ONLY reason for my low rating (which would have been 5 stars) is because I was greeted by three cockroaches. I didn't bring anything in the unit for fear of taking them back with me. I left all the lights on... and saw another two in the morning.

Was not sanitary. Got bit by mosquitos and wife is severly allergic. Did not stay there had to pay for another hotel and they did not offer refund and stopped communicating. On top of the condition of tje rental the ad itself is false advertisemnt it is nowhere near walking distance to the beach or shops. Worst experience we have ever had on vrbo do not stay at this location put your money elsewhere

We enjoyed our stay. Just enough space for 2 of us. I would suggest makjng a note that ut is a very very narrow kne way street. Depending on how close people are able to park to the curb or away from the curb I would not recommend trying to drive down that street with a full size truck or a large SUV. Its a very tight fit. Overall its a cute nice neighborhood. Would stay again.

Pizza Hut and some other restaurants near by. Beach was only a 15 minute walk away. Was very recently remodeled and felt very clean. Just a little confusing getting to the property but the rest of the experience was great!

the easiest check in/out process i’ve ever experienced, neighbors seemed nice. only 15 minute walk from alamitos beach, close to bus stops if you’re taking public transit, too. we didn’t spend a lot of time in the unit, but the host was very responsive to any questions we had and it was a cute little one bedroom. careful on the way out of the bathroom lol

I enjoyed my stay and timely communications with the host. Aside from the little bit of noise from the upstairs neighbor in the middle of the night, my stay was pleasant. And it was close to wonderful shops and restaurants on 4th st.

Cute apartment! Photos are correct. Older building, While beautifully modeled, the barn door for the bathroom bearly fits the door, so hopefully you don't have to poop or are not traveling with anyone to hear you defecate. Tub drain is not screwed into anything, so just take it out for the bath to drain. You can definitely hear the people upstairs,but they sleep at regular hours. Provided your not a night owl (and sleeping when they're moving) this is fine Bathroom shower door is not on correctly so only use the sliding door that moves easily(on the right when your looking at it) even though it does not have a handle for you to move it, that's the proper door.I had car trouble, but the owner was not willing to let me stay any longer than the 11:00 time indicated... So hopefully you're stay goes well I was able to fix my car on my own, so did not get into any extended time at the apartment.

Birthday Trip

The space was really nice. The location was great. The only downside is the neighbors. The people upstairs sound like they were moving furniture the whole weekend we were there and the bathroom tub was dirty but everything else was great

Noise

I reserved 3 nights, during the first night we experienced loud creakings and footsteps from the neighbors upstairs. Of course it is normal to hear noise from neighbors around, however, the walls in this unit are extremely thin to the point that you can hear their faint conversations and every cough as well. I messaged Dustin around 11pm regarding the noises concerns as it was impossible to sleep with constant creakings and footsteps. He promised that the noises would go away and wouldn’t return but unfortunately it did return and continued throughout the night. This would continue until 4am, I have multiple recordings that I’ve sent to the hosts, Dustin and Vlad. We ended up leaving the rental the next day because there was no way we could’ve had restful sleep during our trip in Long Beach. We kindly asked for a refund for the remaining of our stay, which is 2 nights and Vlad (the property owner) refused and believed it was a revenue loss. So unless you can actually withstand constant noise throughout the night, I would book at a different place and save yourself this hassle as the property owner clearly cares more about profits than the overall guests’ experience.As for cleanliness, the coffee table had 2 sticky cup stains on it when we arrived. Smoking is “prohibited” according to the listing but the bathroom trash can reeked of cigarettes when opened. The black decorative pillows on the bed also had several small white stains on it.

Disapointing stay

rental not as enjoyable as it could have been. Paper thin walls and angled step into the bathroom was a little hard to get into. Check in info and parking info was a little lacking as we had to search for all the info.
