Goose Island Flats - The Ibis 1 BR 1 BA

Roomy house with a cottage feel and amazing views! Enjoy beautiful sunrises over the water from your front porch that overlooks St. Charles Bay, as well as lovely sunsets from the west. It's the perfect spot for watching the Whooping Cranes (October - March), Sandhill Cranes and Pink Spoonbills feed around the house or fly over to the pond across the road! Deer and other wildlife feed all around this wonderful natural setting! This amazing property is located just a few minutes away from St. Charles Bay boat launch! There is a nicely appointed king-size main bedroom with a queen-size sofa sleeper in the common area! Behind each house you will find a charcoal grill and there is a fish cleaning station behind the shed.

The Ibis House has beautiful original photographs from around the state. Situated facing East, the Ibis provides amazing views of St. Charles Bay while creating a feeling of retreat.

Families are welcome and pets are allowed! Please contact the host for requested stays over 14 days. Reserve 1 house or entire property (4 houses including a total of 5 bedrooms plus 4 sleeper sofas and 5 bathrooms) for family gatherings or corporate retreats!

Weekend getaway

Very cute and clean little cottage in a quiet place. We loved waking up sitting on the front porch looking out in the bay! Very nice amenities and easy check in and contact with owners. Loved our stay!!!

More than expected. We will be back. The view of St Andrew Bay and the adjoining fields was unexpected. We could watch the sunrise in the morning as well as the arrival of a multitude of birds including roseate Spoonbills, many egrets, gulls, terns and to cap it off a flock of Whooping cranes in the pond next door. It’s a birder’s paradise all in one place. Lot of unexpected amenities in the cabin. We enjoyed it very much.

Weekend Getaway

This was our first time staying at Goose Island Flats and it will not be our last. We hope to become regulars for our weekend getaways here. You couldn’t dream up a better view. It was best of both worlds with the peace and serenity of Mother Nature and the city activities just over the bridge. Tim and Melissa did a wonderful job of making us and our fur babies feel right at home. I will recommend this location to my friends and family for their coastal getaways!

Great Rockport Vacation

Amazing experience at the property, great views and the feeling of being in the country made it so much better! Property manager extremely responsive and helpful. Overall a great trip and we would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I moved from the Texas Hill Country in January of 2023. We love living on the coast with daily opportunities to enjoy fishing or boating or watching the great diversity of birds and other wildlife in the area. The sunrises and sunsets, the peaceful pasture around our property, and the warm summer breezes are amazing.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

It was love at first sight when we drove into our neighborhood! Our property is across the bridge from Rockport in the community of Lamar. We are 10 minutes from everything needed, but away from all the traffic and noise. You really can't beat our location, just a 5-minute walk from St. Charles Bay where cows graze with a waterfront view.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We love our unobstructed water views, pasture land all around, oak trees and palm trees sharing space and providing beautiful sea breeze sounds. Sightings of Whooping Cranes and other coastal birds all day long will tempt any avid bird watcher or nature photographer.
