The Cottage

Completely remodeled in 2023 by Terry’s Remodeling , and owned by Sandy and Terry Blitsch. Located on the north side of a duplex also housing The Yellowstone. The Cottage sleeps 6 and has 1 private bedroom with a queen bed. Another bedroom also has a queen bed with an open loft above containing a third queen bed. Enjoy the designer bathrooms with walk-in showers. The designer kitchen opens to the living room. Outside on the patio you will find a hot tub, grill area, seating area, fire table and a cornhole court. We are located in the center of Princeton on Main Street and you can easily walk to the north end or south end for shopping, dining, and bars.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The breakfast was a nice touch (yogurt, bagels, cereal etc) and made the morning easy to get us going. The hot tub looked nice even though we didn't utilize it, having the bags game available on the property was a good setup. The huge covered patio was wonderful and kept up well.Inside, the bathrooms were modern, spacious, and very nicely done—definitely a standout compared to many places we’ve stayed. The owner was extremely flexible and accommodating, which made the entire experience even better.Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay, and we’d happily come back again!

This property, like their other properties, is amazing. Everything is clean and beautiful. The kitchen is very well stocked and you don't want for anything. This is their 3rd property that I have stayed at and they are all top rate!!!

We found the Cottage to be even more beautifully decorated than we expected from the online pictures. It was excellent in cleanliness and well stocked. The owners were prompt in responding and friendly. Even though it was on Main Street, it was quiet snd peaceful. I would definitely stay there again. I wish we could have had rime to stay longer.

We came to Princeton for one night to see a band. Wish we could have stayed longer! The Cottage was perfect. My favorite part is the enormous patio and side yard. We arrived early enough to enjoy that. We played bags, sat on the swing, and just enjoyed being outside. We got in the hot tub later that night, which was a perfect way to wind down. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were great! I liked the addition of the breakfast bar. That was a nice touch. We will definitely return to the Cottage in the future.

Thanksgiving Stay

Stayed with spouse and family. Pleasantly surprised with water and breakfast selections available on property! Great place and had a lost item that they found and notified us right away they found it. Great accommodations!

Beautiful, Clean, and Thoughtfully Designed Gem

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect—close to downtown but still quiet and relaxing. The property was spotless and exactly as described in the listing, which we really appreciated. The thoughtful design and decor made it feel welcoming and comfortable. The host was an excellent communicator, and made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future!

Weekend getaway

A friend and I came to town for a race (Hennepin 50 miler) and the cottage was perfect for us. Great location. The property was very clean and had a wonderful outdoors space. We were able to take advantage of the hot tub, which was perfect. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

The Cottage-Wedding Party

The Cottage was the perfect place for our group of 4 to stay while we were in Princeton for a wedding at Hornbaker Gardens! We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the property and the outdoor space was a nice surprise! We loved the opportunity to connect with our friends around the hot tub! Being walking distance from local bars/restaraunts made our trip that much easier. We loved the Cottage and hope to return soon!

Clean and fun space

We stayed here the night before and after our wedding. The first night it was the bride and members of the bridal party and the second night it was just the bride and the groom. The outside area was great for entertaining guests but the space didn’t feel too overwhelming for clean up and it provided the perfect environment for some great memories. The host was involved and made themselves available to us almost 24/7. Overall it was a great stay and the house is the perfect spot for either a fun friend/ family trip or a relaxing couple’s getaway.

Great Place to Land in Princeton

The Cottage is a great place in Princeton. We had room to spread out and we really enjoyed the covered outdoor space for gathering and cooking on the Blackstone. The owner was super vigilant and made sure we were comfortable. The Cottage is well appointed if you want to cook and stay in. We’ll keep it in mind for our next trip to Princeton.

Princeton Cottage

What a great place to stay! Spacious & lovely! We especially enjoyed the patio and dinners with family & friends! The beds are comfy and the showers are wonderful! We had everything we needed & more. The owners were helpful & kind. We will certainly be back to the Princeton Cottage or possibly give Yellowstone or Tiskilwa Inn a try (Sugar Maple rentals are terrific)! 👍♥️

Very rude manager/owner

My family was visiting Princeton for my father’s funeral. While my daughters and nieces were quietly catching up in the hot tub in the evening, the owner came to the property and berated them for having more people in the hot tub than were on the reservation. We were the only people on the property and this group of adult professionals were accused of having a non registered “party.” Note- this was not a party. It was 5 out of town cousins catching up. Sandra, the owner, continued to escalate when she asked me how many people were staying and I responded with 4 (myself, my 2 daughters and my son who lives in Europe was able to get a last minute flight to come home to his Grandpa’s funeral). I believe I booked the reservation for 3 before I knew my son could fly home. As advertised the Cottage comfortably sleeps 6. My issue with this VRBO owner and renter was not that she voiced her concern to me but that she repeated over and over and over and over that I booked the night for three people. I acknowledged her concern several times asking what I could do. Do I owe money? Will there be a fine? Finally, when she would not stop berating me, I asked her if she wanted me to leave. I offered to leave. Her communication to me and my family was humiliating, degrading, unkind and totally uncalled for. I will never stay at this property again and would not recommend it to anyone due to this owners aggressive and disrespectful behavior.

Time Together

The Cottage is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. My husband and I shared this space with my sister and her husband. We so appreciated the layout. It allowed each couple to have their own bathroom and some privacy. The queen size beds were very comfortable. They kitchen is beautiful and well stocked for cooking meals. We spent both evenings talking and laughing in the tastefully decorated living room. Thank you for sharing The Cottage with us!
