Make your memories at this one-of-a-kind beautiful mountain getaway! This 2800 sq ft home is perfect as your base camp for adventures or as a quiet nature escape! The St Mary's "Moose" Chalet is located only 60 mins from Denver and boasts endless mountain views and peaceful star-filled nights. Easy access to skiing, hiking, biking, 4 wheeling and the Denver city life! Walking distance to the Saint Mary's Glacier trail head, 2 private lakes, numerous alpine lakes and so much more! Sitting on just under an acre at 10,250ft high in the Rocky Mountains this 4 bedroom mountain home includes 1 king, 2 queens, and 3 bunk beds with 1 full and one twin each. Easy access to skiing, hiking, biking and the Denver city life! Just steps from the Saint Mary's Glacier trail head as well as 4 wheel drive roads, alpine lakes and hiking.

WHAT SETS US APART? The Moose Chalet is a one-of-a-kind, beautifully hand crafted mountain home with a gorgeous wood burning fireplace and stunning forest and mountain views! The Moose Chalet has a large open driveway/parking lot for easy storage of your cars as well as ATVs, Razors and toy haulers! (Sorry, no camping)
We also have a minimal short driveway to access the parking so less likely to get stuck in the winter months (Some of the other driveways on the mountain can't even be used because of the steepness mixed with snow and ice!). The Moose chalet also has ground floor access so you can easily enter and exit without long sets of stairs or walkways.

Idaho Springs is a quick 20 minute drive down the hill where you can experience a true Colorado mining town. Spend the day playing tourist at the Argo Gold Mine or soak in the natural hot springs at the Indian Springs Resort. Or maybe take a drive up Mount Blue Sky (Formerly Mount Evan's), the highest paved road in North America, rising to 14,200 feet above sea level.

Perfect place for a get away with our whole family. The hosts communicated with us throughout our stay. The space was clean and everything we needed for our stay was available. The area is perfect location for hiking getting out of the city without the long drive.

We had our son's wedding at in Idaho Springs, and we booked 3 properties in the Saint Mary's area for the wedding party and extended family visiting from out of state. Our 2 sons and the groomsmen stayed at the chalet, and loved it! Excellent!

Peaceful mountain stay

The chalet provided a lovely space for us to spend time with friends. It’s a beautiful space with excellent views. We went to the nearby lake and paddle boarded a few times. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Anniversary Retreat

This property is spacious and well appointed. Communication with the host was quick and easy. There were plenty of spices for cooking, coffees for getting the morning started, and dishes for meals. We loved relaxing on the deck and in the hot tub. There are so many places to visit in the area.

Beautiful Mountain Escape

We had a group of nine girl friends stay at the Moose Chalet and the weekend couldn't have been more perfect! The location is walkable to various hiking trails and the dining room table accommodated all of us for dinner. It was a beautiful space for our weekend mountain escape and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Moose Chalet for the win!

4-day get-away with my wife and our three sons, ages 15-23. Everyone LOVED it! We found it to be extremely comfortable and very well-stocked, especially the kitchen, living room, and bonus playroom complete with video games and bunk beds. I had a quick question while we were there, and the hosts were immediately responsive. We’d stay there again in a heart beat.

Working with Joel was easy. He was very responsive and professional. Check-in was easy. The home was welcoming, and the kitchen and bath facilities were adequate. All appliances worked and we had plenty of hot water when needed. The whole place was a bit down in the heels, but maybe that added to the rustic feeling. Even though the home is very close to the road we felt quite safe. It was a fun experience for our family.

Mountain Chalet Stay

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Moose Chalet! We’re a family of 4 with two kids ages 10 and 6. The property was clean and welcoming with a lovely bottle of wine. The kids room was fantastic with space to okay, their own tv, bunk beds and toys. At every corner there were cozy blankets - even electric blankets! They had a real wood fireplace that my husband enjoyed tending to. Our hosts were extremely communicative and generous during our stay. This sweet cabin is officially one of our very favorites and we hope to stay again sometime soon!

Best Stay EVER!

This home was perfect for our girls trip. We had excellent communication from the property owners and they were so kind when it came to any of our questions. We loved staying here, it even snowed on our last day (when it was a nice 65 degrees the day before). We could have walked right to the St. Mary’s Glacier trailhead but we chose to drive there. I cannot say enough amazing things about this home and the memories it provided us. If I could give 10/10 stars, I would. Thank you to Joel and Kristine.
