Quiet & simple suite in a lovely AVL neighborhood. David was a great host - clear check-in instructions and helpful advice about his city. This was a perfect place for our visit.

Everything about this experience was perfect. David’s communication was way above par. He was responsive, open, and even let us know he had had a bear sighting in his yard the day before. Building on the character of his 1895 home, David has transformed 500 sq feet into a cozy and efficient little retreat. We were welcomed to use his yard (still brimming with zinnias, coral bells, and a lovely carpet of grass and shady trees). Its location was within walking of shops and venues, and only half a block from one of my favorite Asheville diners! I am looking for every excuse to visit again.

It's just perfect for me. Microwave and coffee maker (Peet's provided!), mini- fridge. A 5 minute walk from Trader Joes And Harris Teeter. Can walk to downtown. Neighborhood is quiet and there is a house with funky skeletons in the yard nearby.

David was an excellent host. The space was clean, quiet and comfortable. We walked downtown, and were close to Trader Joe’s, Harris Teeter, and a delicious restaurant called Five Points.

The vrbo was very clean and communication with the host was great. Short walk to anything down town. We loved our stay and would definitely book the place again.

Weekend Trip

Nice quiet suite in a good area, walkable to downtown and 5 minutes away from everything by car, very convenient to the highway. Comfortable bed and nice sitting room with a table and couch. The unit was clean, cozy, and had all the essentials (including coffee). We were very happy with our stay and David was a great host!

Nice place.

If you’re just looking for a place to lay your head, this place is great. It has a kitchen, bedroom, and a small “living” room that isn’t really functional for much, but I knew that going in. I just used it to sleep and shower and it was great. There was some trash left in the trashcan when I got there, but I figured it was best to save plastic trash bags anyways.

I worked as a white water river guide and a bike tour guide in this area for 15 years, so feel free to inquire about river trips and bike rides around the Asheville area.

Guests will check themselves in by using the keypad lock on the front door.
There is one off-street parking spot available on the property.
