Welcome to a haven of comfort and serenity for nature lovers! Right off route 28

Grandma Sang's Bed & Breakfast allows you to experience a peaceful getaway that will allow you to enjoy a beautiful view of nature in the backyard enclosure. During the cold months, there are windows that have an amazing panorama of the yard. In the entertainment room, you can watch the birds at the feeder. If you are one for movies, the master bedroom as well as the entertainment room both have 75 inch televisions. Traveling on business or need a workspace for staying on top of your online needs? The second bedroom has a desk to serve that purpose. Otherwise, use this time to unplug and read a book. You could also book a massage or yoga session while at our location. Ask for details in advance or while you are here. Expect high standards when it comes to cleanliness. We pride ourselves on making sure that everything is exceptional for keeping our guests safe. We clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. We follow a checklist that is enforced with our cleaning staff. Come and enjoy!

Wonderful & convenient!

Grandma Sang’s B&B is just lovely. And very convenient for Lower Burrell. We really enjoyed the backyard patio for breakfast and relaxing. The space is very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend; we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful visit!

Dawn was a kind and gracious host! We were in a hurry for check in due to a nearby event and she walked us through in record time. Her house is immaculate and the downstairs can entertain a nice sized group, while still being comfy and cozy when it's just the two of you. This is an ideal summer stay with a beautiful back porch and yard. Highly recommend!

Peaceful and nourishing

We had the greatest time! Dawn was easy to communicate with, kind and generous, treating us to a delicious breakfast and much hospitality. The house is spacious and super clean, with much to offer. Everyone loved it. We had great rest and relaxation during our stay. Thank you so much, Dawn!!

Great stay in the perfect location for us

My adult daughter and I were in Lower Burrell for a celebration of life for a family member. Dawn met us at the house to give us the key and show us the space/discuss house rules (no shoes, no guests, no food in certain areas). Fortunately, all of that worked for us, so we didn’t have a problem, although it felt a bit strict to us. The two bedrooms we stayed in were spacious and nicely done. The primary bedroom had its own powder room, which was a plus. The screened-in back porch was lovely, and when we were at the house, we spent our time in that space. Dawn was easy and responsive to communicate with. We definitely appreciated the location right in Lower Burrell. Thanks for your hospitality, Dawn!

Home away from home

Very nice place to stay. All the comforts of home and very clean. Close to all of the Pittsburgh activities. Back patio was very comfortable. I am sure a small fire in the fall would be on a crisp night would be great.

Family visit

My wife and I were in town for Mother’s Day weekend visit with family. Location was excellent for where we needed to be and visit. Property was comfortable, clean, and in a quiet neighborhood.

Best House and Host Ever

This is a wonderful property! Everything was very clean and the house was beautiful. We loved the family touches throughout the house. Dawn, the host was excellent! She had treats for us and was very hospitable. She came and met us and gave us a personal tour! She was awesome! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who is in the area.

This grandmother was not happy

I am an 83 year old grandmother and rented this home with my daughter and son-in-law. I specifically chose renting a home, rather than a hotel, because it was close to my brother's home and we could easily visit each other throughout the day. Unfortunately this did not happen because the owner informed me I was not permitted any visitors. I was shocked as this was never stated in her ad on VRBO. After much discussion her solution was for my family to 'walk around the outside of her house' and visit on her back porch. It was almost 90 degrees both days and this was not a healthy alternative for me or my family. I have rented many times with VRBO and have never had this experience.

Good things--we had the whole house to ourselves at a very reasonable price, and things were very clean and tidy, with most everything there we needed. I did have to message the owner before arriving because I did not receive any information about how to get into the property. I would have liked to know that further in advance rather than having to stop and message for the information when I'm driving there. Also, the owner had to come and deliver some supplies after we had already arrived. It would be a plus if that were not necessary, as everyone is tired after a long drive and just wants to "collapse" and have some private quiet time. Also, I had to contact the owner several times to find things and understand details about the house -- like where to find the iron, how to get the plug in the bathroom to work, how to get A/C on, etc. It would be preferable to have a binder of information about the house in a readily available location upon arrival (like on the kitchen table). The other things I would mention are these - 1) the description of the house emphasizes "serenity", but it is on a street with a Pretty constant flow of traffic, so it would've been good to know that so we could bring a noisemaker to help with getting to sleep at night and also 2) it would be really helpful to know the location of a fire extinguisher and emergency info like fire & police numbers, etc. Except for those few things, this was a great place to stay and the owner was extremely helpful.

Superb location for visiting Pittsburgh

My family and I (4 adults) stayed at this lovely, well-maintained home to see a concert at the Oaks Theatre. Dawn, our gracious host not only met us at the property to give us a personal tour, but also stayed in constant contact throughout our stay which is always a plus! Each of the two rooms we stayed in were spacious with plenty of room for our belongings, a large flatscreen TV, and a comfy bed! I thoroughly enjoyed the proximity to Pittsburgh and the screened-in porch just off the kitchen area to reconnect with nature and enjoy a morning cup of Joe! We plan to visit Pittsburgh in the summer to see a baseball game at PNC and hope to be able to stay here again! Thank you again, Dawn, for opening your home to us weary travelers! - Jerry
