Built around the turn of the century, Little Acorn Sunday Haus has been restored to maintain the period decor, but with today's modern conveniences. Little Acorn was rebuilt with specially milled lumbar, gingerbread trim and doors, stamped metal ceilings and wood floors to revive the look of late 1800's Fredericksburg. Situated 1 block off of Main Street, Little Acorn is within walking distance of popular restaurants, shops, live music and area events. Amazing location to experience all Fredericksburg has to offer!

We stayed here with friends visiting from Wales and New Zealand to show them some Texas hospitality, and the cottage was a wonderful choice. It was quaint, very nicely kept, and had a warm, welcoming feel throughout our stay. We especially loved the convenient location to Main Street, which made everything easy to access. The resident cat was also an unexpected highlight and absolutely charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again.

We really enjoyed staying at this cozy two bedroom cottage. We thought it was in a great location. The neighborhood was quiet and not far from the center of town. The host was very accommodating and went the extra mile recommending the flower shop and assisting in the delivery process prior to our arrival. We will make a return trip.

Beautiful Sunday Haus! Like stepping back in time when life was simpler! Everything was perfect and just as described in the listing. We loved the Tuxedo kitty! I was under the impression it was within a couple blocks of the downtown area and shops, sadly we had to drive instead of walk everywhere. House was cute though, very tidy and nice decor. One of the beds is so high off the ground you have to jump or climb to get in it. The stepping stool was too wobbly to use. The worst thing was small dirty shower. A tall person or a man could not fit. It also needs a new curtain liner since the current one has mold on it. Priced too high for the value in my opinion.

Great Getaway

We were looking for a nice alternative to a hotel for a quick one night getaway. Little Acorn was perfect! It was clean, all the amenities were as advertised and the AC was super cold! (Much needed on a 100 degree day). Will 100% look to return on our next overnight to Fredericksburg.

Cute Acorn Cottage

Such a sweet cottage. It was perfect for our stay. Close to Main Street. Owners were responsive. We even made a friend out of the sweet cat Tia. I hope the next people that come in take care of her by leaving food out for her. Poor thing was getting beat up by something.

Originally from Illinois, we moved to Texas after graduating from college. Since then, we've lived just outside of Houston. Over the years, we have enjoyed getting out and exploring the vast state of Texas. We first visited Fredericksburg in 2021 during the pandemic and fell in love with the charm and history that the town has to offer. When the opportunity arose to own a historic home here, we couldn't pass it up!

Little Acorn is located in the historic district of Fredericksburg. We love walking around the neighborhood and admiring the architecture. All of the houses are so unique and have their own personality. The neighborhood is quiet and a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Houston. Little Acorn is also situated perfectly to easily get around town. Many shops and restaurants are either a short walk or drive.

This property has been lovingly cared for and maintained by many of the previous owners. Each caretaker leaving their distinctive mark on the house. From the picket fence to the gingerbread trim, the beadboard, stamped metal ceilings and the clawfoot tub. There's not another house like Little Acorn in Fredericksburg. This home truly is one of a kind.
