We feel like this property is more like a 3.5 but can't do half stars.The pictures are deceptive of the size of the rooms- especially the living room, bathooms, & kitchen. The kitchen was missing some items we felt should have come with the property. There was some construction happening in one of the bedroom closets that wasn't disclosed to us beforehand.It is a great location if you want to be near the Naval base & is in a quiet neighborhood with a short drive to resturants & grocery store/Walmart.

This home was perfectly suited for our naval graduation stay. I stayed for a total of four nights. It's located within 15min of the base. Everything was clean and tidy inside the home. Upstairs bedrooms are on the smaller side as well as the bathrooms. The master bedroom is large. Overall for my personal preferences it was accommodating. I would recommend this property for travelers who can climb stairs. Those with bad knees or hips may find it difficult to enter the property. Managing the interior staircase may be difficult as well. Other than those things to be aware of when booking this property it is in a great location with everything you would need in close proximity.

Nice home, quiet neighborhood

The house was clean and looks just like the photos, space is a little smaller then they appear in photos. No dressers in any of the rooms for clothes and in one of the rooms the closest is locked making that room completely unwelcoming for longer stays. Expired food left in the gift basket.

Cute clean home

This home is very clean and the owner is very responsive. We came to visit my son at RTC naval base and the house was only 10 minutes away which was really great. It is also right near a great pizza place. Just a couple things that should be noted- there is no dishwasher and no laundry and the 2 bathrooms are very very small. But, house is clean and comfortable and owner is very responsive and ready to help with whatever you may need.

Clean and quiet

The Palmer house is a very clean hundred year old home in a very quiet neighborhood. The beds are comfortable. To enter you must climb stairs. My 80 year old father had difficulty and made it impossible for him to sleep upstairs. Granted it was -20 when we checked in, but the master bedroom is an addition and was freezing for a day or two until the heaters could catch up.There are closets, but no drawers or places to store luggage so we lived out off suitcases on the floor for 6 days. But! The home is clean, safer, quiet and mostly comfortable.

Navy Graduation Trip

Amazing house, less than 15 mins to base. Waukegan is a great little town with some nice pubs and restaurants. Quick drive to the yacht club and Marina, great beach area. The house is very spacious, cleaned immaculately, plenty of space, very well stocked with everything you need. Owner/host is remarkable with quick responses and communication. Highly recommend this house if your sailor is graduating.

Great for our family

This house was a great place to stay when we were in town for a family reunion. There was plenty of room for everyone, the showers were nice, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. Overall would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay! Great place for large family

The place was very nice and clean. I wished there was a washer and dryer. It was in a perfect location too be able to go to different attractions and also close to see my grandson graduate from the Navy Boot Camp

Nice home to stay in.

The property was nice inside. We cook and the kitchen is not set up for people to cook. No bowls and such. I had to use the blender to mix our eggs for scrambled. Lol, it worked. I wish I had known that there was no dishwasher, it would have been a deal breaker for me. I was on a mini vacation and had to hand wash all the dishes, strip the beds and take out the trash. The owner was terrific and even sent us cookie sheets so I could make biscuits and a light bulb. The outside was not so nice with trash and such on the property and the waitress at the restaurant around the corner warned us not to go out at night. It was about a 15-minute drive to Navy Great Lakes graduation, which was why we were there. Had we had a full house, we were only 4 of us, there would not have been enough seating in the living room, but it worked for us.
