Perfect holiday getaway

We had an amazing vacation! Everything was perfect, largely thanks to our host, Albert. Albert saved us so much time helping us plan out our activities and giving us the lay of the land. We stayed here for six nights as a family (w/ two kids 8 and under). Albert arranged for us to have a private chef three of those nights in addition to a couple breakfasts, right in the comfort on our amazing balcony. He also set up a private tour on horseback, on ATV, a canopy tour, and fishing charter. We all loved it, and the guides were so lovely. The boys caught mahi and tuna, so the private chef whipped up fish tacos and sashimi for us that was fantastic. Oh and the on-site massage therapist was great, too! What sets this place apart from the rest of the private residences and even higher-end hotels up the coast is the community pool. The view at sunset will take your breath away. It was rarely even used, which made it feel like it was our own private pool. This community gives you the feeling you’re at home, not at a chaotic busy resort, which we really loved. Hula Jungla is a cute open-air restaurant just down the hill great for lunch and yummy drinks. Playa Samara is about a 10-15 min drive is a cute beach spot with plenty of nightlife and dining options to pick from. We enjoyed getting out and exploring, enjoying the drive each time. We had a lunch and a breakfast at Gustos on the beach - great food! We are already planning a repeat visit back this summer.

Perfect Stay

What an amazing stay! The property is absolutely beautiful. We would spend hours out on the balcony just taking in the amazing view. Albert is a wonderful person. We got ourselves in a bit of trouble on our way to Las Ventanas and Albert and his friends saved the day. We could not be more grateful. We will be back!

Exceptional complex

Las Ventanas del Mar is truly a wonderful complex ,beautiful well furnished and laid out Villas , The enormous infinity swimming pool is the center piece of the complex along with some great pickle ball courts which we used almost every day . The BBQ location beside the lake is well set up and equipped. There are Kayaks for use on the lake however we found them a little too heavy for us to use more than once . The location of Las Ventanas overlooking playa Carrillo one of Costa Rica’s best beaches is superb and only a five minute drive down the Mountain

Gem of a place

We rented a townhouse and it was clean, tastefully furnished, and provided plently of space for our family of 5. The views are amazing and the infinity pool is incredible. The approach to the property can be steep at times so a good vehicle is recommended. Albert was very helpful and informative. We highly recommend this place and we will definitely come back again.

Paradise!

The property is amazing and just what we needed for a relaxing vacation with access to activities including beach, horseback riding, ATV'ing and restaurants. The pool was outstanding and we had some days with an hour or two to ourselves. We will be back!

Beautiful view

Incredible location overlooking playa carillo and playa samara. It is not on the beach but easy access. About 1 mile to carillo and 5 to samara. Incredible infinity pool with incredible views. Albert the manager was very helpful and friendly. Beautiful 3 bedroom condo with incredible views. Relaxed Christmas vacation with the family. We spent a couple days beach combing, a couple days of adventures(fishing, river tubing, zip lining, horseback riding, etc) and a couple days chilling at the incredible pool. The sunset from the pool is primo. Much better than from the beach.

Amazing view

We had a great time at Las Ventanas. There was a very nice welcome basket when we arrived and the place had everything we needed. Sitting outside with our morning coffee enjoying the beautiful views was wonderful, and sunsets from the amazing pool were spectacular. We seemed to always have the pool and hammock area all to ourselves. Albert arranged for us all to have fabulous massages, followed by a local chef cooking a very nice dinner for us. The nearby Playa Carrillo was absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed exploring Samara and Nosara as well. Hope to be back soon!

Beautiful views

We had a wonderful stay at Las Ventanas. The views and the pool are especially incredible, and we always had the pool and hammock area all to ourselves. Albert helped arrange outstanding massages for our whole group, as well as a nice dinner prepared by a local chef. Playa Carrillo is absolutely beautiful and uncrowded, and we enjoyed spending time in Samara and Nosara as well. Hope to be back some day!

Absolutely beautiful!

This is a beautiful property with breathtaking views of the ocean. We were welcomed right away by Marisol and Albert and throughout our stay they were available to assist us whatever we needed. We are a family of 5 and the until was clean, spacious and comfortable. The townhouse wa well equipped for cooking. One night we had a chef that Albert provided come in and the meal he prepared was delicious and the portions generous. The beach is less than a 5 minute drive ride the more quiet less populated beach or a 7 min drive to Samara, a cute beach down with shops and restaurants. Adventures such as atv-ing, surfing and zip lining are also close by. We went in high season over the holidays and although the units were fully booked we often had the beautiful Infiniti pool to ourselves. The grounds are stunning with ocean views, hammocks, loungers, tennis courts, workout area and a little pond. The ride up to the unit is an adventure in itself. It’s a dirt road with beautiful views all the way up. We have been to Costa Rica a few times and loved loved loved this location. Albert and Marisol give it the personal touch and we will for sure be back again. We highly recommend this property. It’s truely heaven!

Breath taking views with unbelievable hospitality

Visiting Costa Rica was on our bucket list. I had a friend of mine that stayed at Las Ventanas del Mar last year and recommended we checked it out. The photos on the website are beautiful but the actual property is gorgeous. There was 6 of us traveling together and when we opened up the door to our unit we were like kids as we walked around and yelled out to each other how amazing the home was with it's beautiful decor and the wrap around porch with views of the Pacific Ocean. They had left no small details out. We had access to beach chairs, snorkel gear, tennis gear, beach towels, coolers which all came into use. The infinity pool was unbelievable with its views of the ocean and mountains. We would go out almost every night for a swim and to wind down from the day’s activities and look at the stars. On a clear night go out and relax under the stars. It's like you can reach up and grab the stars as they look so close. Lorena, the property manager, was so helpful. She was very welcoming in our visit and always there to assist us with any questions or needs we had. We traveled outside of the property everyday as there were so many things we wanted to do. We did surf lessons at Samara Beach, rode ATV's for a sunset tour, traveled to Sibu Sanctuary where they rescue monkeys in need of medical care and release them back into the wild. We drove to Punta Islita and Playa Corozalito to be lucky enough to watch them release 68 baby turtles into the ocean. Each of the beach towns we visited were uniquely different with their sands, color of the water and break of the waves. The food and drinks were delicious. If you are adventurous and want to go out towards Nosara and their beaches, make sure to find La Luna for lunch. Go hungry as the food is amazing and in large portions. Our overall experience was beyond our expectations. We will be back again soon!

Outstanding location with breathtaking views

After spending a few very busy days in Arenal, my family (myself, wife and 3 teen aged boys) had high expectation for our visit to Las Ventanas. Las Ventanas blew away our expectations and was a perfect way to chill after Arenal. The condo is better than it shows in the pictures. The view of the carillo and samara and the surrounding mountains is unreal, especially at sunset. The drive up to the condo is just 2K on a dirt/gravel road that can be a bit steep but is easily passable and worth it at the end. Las Ventanas was incredibly private. We had the huge pool to ourselves every day and at sunset. The condo was well furnished and had all the conveniences of home. Kids also took advantage of the tennis courts, kayaks, paddleboard and fishing at the pond and the bocce and cornhole boards over by the pool. Plenty of seating poolside at comfortable chairs or in hammocks at the surrounding tiki huts. Enjoyed the large # of parrots that reside on the property and the howlers calling all around. Even the two short losses of power added to the experience as the condo was outfitted with many large candles that we lit. Felt totally safe the entire time. Carrillo beach is literally at the bottom of the hill. It's a great beach with good waves for swimming or bodysurfing and palm trees for shade. Not at all crowded. Getting into Samara was nothing more than a 10-15 minute drive. We enjoyed surfing lessons from C&C Surf Shop in Samara, fresh fruit from the fruit guy and convenience of the many restaurants and grocery stores in Samara. Samara beach is slightly more crowded and definitely more commercial than Carrillo but enjoyable nonetheless. Can't recommend this property enough for its beauty, how well thought out it is and the relaxation it offered.

Incredible and relaxing

Being travel agency owners we have travelled extensively and consider ourselves very fussy... We set the bar high and this condo met and exceeded our expectations in every way! My husband, myself and 3 teenagers travelled to Las Ventanas in Dec. the condo was so spacious and it was decorated beautifully! The grounds and pool area were spectacular with some of the most amazing views and sunsets we have ever seen...often we were the only people at the pool. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the time we booked until we drove away at the end of our week. The area was a nice change to some of the other areas we have visited in Costa Rica as it was a lot quieter with less tourists. The beach was was very clean and safe for swimming and there are so many great restaurants that it was hard to choose. We can't wait to return, thank you for the great week :)

Beautiful!

We had a wonderful experience at Las Ventanas... The view and pool are heavenly! The safety and development are top notch! We also loved that are many outdoor activities for all ages, wildlife to admire, and wonderful restaurants so close by!

Unbelievable Vacation Spot

Costa Rica is our favorite vacation spot b/c the country is beautiful, the food is outstanding, the people are the most hospitable of anywhere we have been. We travel to Costa Rica twice a year and always stay at this property b/c it's a true hidden gem! The units are new, alway clean, extremely nice and have all the amenities of home. I cant say enough about the staff who have always gone above and beyond to make you feel welcome and they are all fluent in English which is always nice. The view is truely amazing and the infinity pool that overlooks the ocean is the most amazing of any I have ever seen. The view, landscaping and pool have to be the best in the country, period! The property is conviently located in area full of local charm, awesome beaches, surfing, horseback riding, etc. I have recommended this location to all of my friends and will continue due to it's beautiful views, convenient location and friendly staff.

Best Vacation Ever!!

We love Las Ventanas and Costa Rica. My family (4 kids - ages 6, 7, 10 &12, and 2 adults) The condos are beautiful and professionally decorated. The grounds are beautifully maintained. I have NEVER seen a pool like this one - HUGE and best view ever!! We even saw monkeys in the trees right by the pool. The sunsets from Las Ventans are amazing! The towns close to the condo are great. Great places to eat and hang out under the palm trees all while having your feet in the sand. The locals are so nice and most speak good English. I love that we can stay in luxury and still be a part of the real culture of CR. You won't be disappointed!
