Absolutely gorgeous!

Our party of 7 absolutely loved staying in this home. The views are incredible in all directions, and the house was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, well-furnished, and had everything we needed. Great walking and biking trails from the house, and a nearby market in the village. Deer visited daily. So pretty and peaceful.

Powder House was perfect for our stay

We had our family of 12 stay the week during Christmas / New Year's break for skiing. The slopes were easy to access, the house had plenty of room to spread out, and the kitchen was wonderful - right across from huge dining room. The on-site maintenance person, Steven, was very helpful keeping snow cleared and resolvilng any issues immediately. This was a beautiful house and well laid out floor plans on each floor. Highly recommend it!

Lots of pluses, very few minuses--a beautiful house!

We never did get the sound system to work during our 4-night stay, and the March order for blinds in the master bedroom (and the other bedroom lacking them) had still not been filled six months later. We never even opened up the hot tub, but if we had the lack of blinds between it and the door into the master bedroom would have created privacy issues. However, the house was otherwise well equipped (except for some outdated TVs) and comfortable (we spent a lot of quality time together in the Great Room). The view is mostly into the woods but does overlook the tiny Telluride airport; we loved the location and the ease in getting around town (we never had to wait more than five minutes for the shuttle into the Village, and the free gondola connection to Telluride proper was a great plus. The cowboy and miner decor was colorful, though the handmade dining room chairs did not invite lingering at the table after dinner (in fact, we mostly ate in the kitchen and Great Room).

Overall we enjoyed our stay & the home

There were a few things that need to be pointed out: (1) We were unable to get into the home at 4:00 as advertised as the cleaning crew was there until 4:30, (2) both coffee pots were not completely clean, (3) there were no instructions on how the operate the television and sound system, (4) no instructions on how to operate the hot tub,(5) the sound system in the individual rooms was not working, (5) the kitchen contained only 2 cup towels (6) the power plug to the ladies vanity in the master bath quit working after a few days (7) the shower & sink drain in the bedroom closest to the master bedroom took forever to drain and must be clogged. Finally, and this is not a a complaint, but the mattress in the master bedroom bed is the hardest(firm) mattress I have ever tried to sleep on. Overall, the house was a perfect fit for our family & we really enjoyed it. An added plus was having an abundent supply of firewood for an early morning fire. Outside of the cup towels, this house was completely outfitted with dishes, pots, pans, glasses, etc. The views were outstanding and the location was peaceful. We really enjoyed looking at all the personal family photos in the house. We will certainly come back to Powder Place on our next trip to Colorado. S. Taylor

Family Gathering

This house was terrific for us! My daughter had her wedding in Telluride at the end of August and we had 8 people stay at the house. The online pictures worked well in giving me an idea who would stay in the various bedrooms, etc. In person, the house was actually nicer than the pictures!! Beautiful wood flooring, wide hallways, high ceilings....plus a beautiful setting surrounded by hundreds of Aspen trees. House was well stocked with all the kitchen items you could need. I highly recommend this property.

Great Time

We really enjoyed our stay. Only little snafu was an odor in the kitchen. We thought a dead mouse but figured out someone had dumped or left a lot of food waste in disposal that was smelling really bad. After we poured some disinfectant and ran hot water through it for a short time it went away. There is also a lamp plugged in the living room under the rug that needs some attention since lamp goes on and off when you walk by that area. Thanks again, Ryan

Overall fantastic experience. The management was very responsive. The home was wonderful.

We had a great stay at Powder Place. The home has all the amenities you could ask for. There was an issue with the fridge and hot tub, but was addressed swiftly by the home manager. Overall we were very happy and would return for another stay.

Great week at Powder Place

We are 3 families from Houston, TX who stayed at Powder Place for a spring break ski trip. The house is perfect for 10 guests- plenty of room for all of us to lounge, eat, sleep and get ready for the slopes. The kitchen is well equiped with dishes and cooking items for eating at home. The fire place in the living room was easy to use and had plenty of wood. There were plenty of towels for showering and for hot tub use, and the laundry facilities were fine for the quick load of essentials. Hot water for showers was never an issue. And IF we did have any problems, the management company was very responsive and helpful (we really appreciated Steve and all he did for us during the stay - it snowed tons while we were there and he would come by daily to scoop the entry way and hot tub area ). The grocery store in Mountain Village had what we needed and was relatively easy to get to with the Dial-a-ride shuttle service. And most importantly, the skiing was great (tons of powder). The house is as described for ski-in/ski-out and with all the snow we had, we just put on our skis outside the front door and skied down the driveway to the slope! We would definitely recommend this place and Telluride for winter or summer fun.

The home was stunning, grand and perfect for friends getting together

Fantastic property in a beautiful setting. Very private and we hit the fall foliage just perfectly. We would love to return! The house made the experience visiting Telluride very very special :)

Beautiful spacious home with incredible views.

We truly loved staying at Powder Place. We had a great time visiting together in the spacious living room and eating in the large dining room. In the mornings it was nice to drink a cup of coffee beside a wood burn fire. Powder Place is a wonderful home which can accommodate 4 couples comfortably and 4 youngers staying in the crows nest.

Powder Place is aaahhhmazing

The house is breathtaking! My husband and I went for our 3 yr anniversary with our newborn daughter (1mo) we stayed in the house pretty much the entire time. It being January, the driveway was snow packed making it tight and narrow, be careful not to get stuck but we had our truck w 4 wheel drive. We would've gone snowboarding but we just had our baby so we enjoyed the hot tub, had movie nights, made any kind of dinners in the huge kitchen! BTW the grocery store is like 10 min away w a coffee stand and liquor store attached! So convenient.

Great summer stay!

Truly an impressive and well built home. Every room has its own bathroom which worked great for our group. Master bedroom and bath is straight from a catalog for the perfect combination of open space, jetted tub and steam shower. Dining and living room space had everything we needed and was nicely furnished. Beautiful hardwood flooring throughout and not a creak when you walk on it! Very sturdy and well-built home built with solid materials to last. While the huge Windows provided incredible views, few had window coverings, meaning we were up with the sun every morning. Not a huge issue, but something to keep in mind. Overall I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Heck, I wish I could live here!

Wonderful property

We chose this home in September knowing that it was in an ideal place to see the Aspens change. The price is right for such a large property in a secluded area that offers views of Mt. Wilson. The bedrooms are all very nice and the upstairs living area was perfect in the evenings for relaxation. We cooked almost every night and used the grill on the back patio to cook most of our meals. We had all of the necessary pots, pans, silverware, etc. I do have one suggestion, please add an outdoor fire pit and sitting area below the main deck in the back part of the property, that would be a wonderful addition to this already outstanding property. I was also very pleased with how clean the property was and the detail the property managers went to ensure our stay was nice. Very easy in and out process.

Perfect for a family or group

The home was emaculate and all the ammenaties far exceeded expectations. All the feeling of a luxury resort with the privacy of a secluded cabin. Our best ski town experience by far.

Perfect property for our family

We recently stayed at this beautiful, spacious home for five nights with our three kids and their young families. We were impressed with the setting amidst the trees and the beautiful views. All of the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The little cousins especially liked the room with the four twin beds. The kitchen was adequately stocked and we ate all of our meals there. The hot tub was great, we did have to call at one point for some maintenance. Overall, we would highly recommend this property. The Western decor was attractive and fun as well.
