I love people and have hosted people from S.Korea to Australia and I love them all! I am a artist, mother of three adult daughters and foodie! I credit my daughters for introducing me to vegan food, Korean food, wine and an artist social life. My go to foods have always been steaks, BBQ and breakfast (I have tons of recommendations)! My guilty pleasures are watching Korean Dramas, Anime, Walking Dead, Bold & The Beautiful, and Scandal. Oh and I'm forever redesigning my properties!
I'm a person that loves to put my best foot forward and my vacation properties in Louisville & Harlan, KY are no exception. I (and family) take pride in our properties and we are responsive to our guests needs in intuitive ways. Since we are avid vacationers ourselves, we know what it takes to make every vacation a holiday. In a small town like Harlan we love to make you feel safe and welcome! I assure you that there is no other property that can compare to my four Harlan guesthouses.

Nestled in a valley in the ancient and enchanted Appalachian mountains, we provide guests with fully-furnished and fully-equipped homes away from home. We cater to guests who seek short term, private accommodations. Be our guest for your romantic getaway, vacation, business meeting, or visit with relatives and friends.
Vela’s House is our 4 to 5 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom Craftsman style house. This grand old home retains its original architectural features (such as original fireplaces, built in bookshelves, and exposed beam ceilings) while being lovingly renovated and mechanically modernized for comfort and convenience. It is fully-furnished and tastefully decorated with charming antiques and graceful decor. It boasts a huge living room, a formal dining room, and a bonus room downstairs that can be used as a den or an extra bedroom. The living room and bedrooms feature flat screen televisions and cable programming. Also included are a fully-equipped kitchen, bath towels, and bed linens. It sleeps up to twelve comfortably.
The three cottages are newly-renovated two bedroom houses sleeping six to eight comfortably. Fully equipped kitchens, flat screen televisions in the living rooms and bedrooms, dining areas, freshly-laundered towels and bedding, and central heat and air make staying in these charming homes perfect for singles, couples, and families.
