Welcome to Sarah Jane`s Cottage!

This quaint cottage is one of two newly built cottages at the Cottages at Doe Creek property overlooking a pond and blooming gardens with a convenient location only minutes to downtown Blowing Rock and downtown Boone. Other nearby High Country attractions included Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, Hawksnest, Moses Cone Estate Park. Every season brings something new at this tranquil location with over 13 acres to explore and minutes from the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway, various hiking trails, fishing and rafting opportunities.

Sarah Jane`s Cottage boasts new furnishings and chic modern country decor, all with relaxation and enjoyment in mind. Enjoy relaxing on the covered porch or soaking in the hot tub overlooking the gardens and pond, or sit by a fire and enjoy the night stars. Most days at dusk you can see the deer and their babies pass through while ducks teach their ducklings how to take off and land on the pond.

The main floor living room is a cozy space with tv and gas log fireplace, which flows into the dining area and full kitchen. There is a queen bedroom and full bathroom also on the main level, and a bright comfortable king bedroom and full bathroom on the upper level.

There is wifi and streaming via smart TVs. Heating and air conditioning are provided by mini-splits for year round comfort. Up to two dogs are welcome to be included with a reservation, additional pet fees apply.

Sarah Jane`s Cottage can be booked alone for a quiet getaway, or check availability at the two other Doe Creek Cottages if looking to stay near family and friends on the same property accommodating up to 16 guests - Clementine`s Cottage and The Farmhouse - both of which share the common areas including the pond and acreage.


MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO BOOK

We recommend snow chains and AWD/4WD during the winter in the High Country in case of inclement weather.

The property is located in the mountains, please be aware there may be wildlife in the area.

This location is great; easy trips to either Blowing Rock or Boone. The cottage is nice and cozy with lots of room to walk the dogs and explore the beautiful property. Comfy beds and all the essentials you need to relax and enjoy the time off. Host was quick to answer questions and make sure they were there if we needed anything. Would book again no question. Thanks!

Loved the cabin and the proximity to town. We loved the open spaces outside, our dog had plenty of room to play. Lots of wildlife too. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent stay

This is a great little cabin that fit four of us easily. It’s located in good proximity to Blowing Rock that getting around was very easy. Would highly recommend.

Quaint cottage

Rustic small cottage that provided a great little escape. Loved seeing the family of geese!! Beds were comfortable but the one shower is tiny. I would stay again as it was very convenient to both Boone and Blowing Rock.

Perfect home base

We loved our stay in the cottage! It was the perfect home base for adventuring around Boone and Blowing Rock, within 20 minutes of parks, restaurants, mountain biking, and more. We brought our dog and she loved exploring the property. We enjoyed the porch in the mornings with coffee, and the hot tub in the evenings. Great place all in all!

Nice cabin and easy to get to

Needed an overnight place with 2 bedrooms and this place was great. Short drive from either Blowing Rock and Boone. Driveway was easy for my low-ground-clearance car. Nice to sit on the front porch and enjoy the property.

Family getaway

Our family rented two houses on the property. Was a great location, relaxing and comfy. Would recommend and we would return. Fish were jumping in the pond. Wish we had brought our rods for the kids, but were told there were no fish.

Beautiful property

The view from house with the pond and wide open space was perfect for us. Partially secluded but also easy main road to get to downtown Blowing Rock. We hope to go back with even more family members next time.

Great mountain getaway

Booked a short trip to celebrate birthdays and get some much needed snowboarding time in with the wife and kiddos. Highly recommend this place. Clean, comfortable beds, 10 minutes from App Ski. Just perfect.

Second trip to Blowing Rock

This was our second stay at Sarah Jane’s Cottage. It’s an oasis for peace and serenity. A simple home with just what you need to relax and unwind. Plenty of privacy and a nice view of the pond. We saw deer in the front during the evening and we could sit and watch them for a while as they took their time foraging on the grass. We look forward to another future stay.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This is a great find! It's conveniently located between Boone and Blowing Rock and easy to get to. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was awesome as I like to cook for the family I visited. Highly recommend this place!

Great little place!

My friend and I stayed for a full week. We were in town for the Blowing Rock Horse Show, and this property was perfect for us. Great location (about 10 minutes door to door to show grounds, less to the town), comfortable and had everything we needed to cook in, relax and play with the dog. We didn’t explore much around the house, but fun seeing the deer in the morning and hearing the bullfrogs out by the pond at night. Note the upstairs bedroom is large and very comfortable but there is no door to that bedroom; you walk upstairs right into the bedroom. Not a problem for us! Some appliances could be updated but we would definitely stay again.

Great place

Me and my family reallly enjoyed staying here. A great location between boone and blowing rock. We enjoyed the sitting around the fire pit and watching the deer. The house is decorated in a cute county theme and the beds are comfy.

Moving Weekend for my Daughter

This is the most perfect location! Right in between Boone and Blowing Rock. The property and pond are beautiful...we even picked a few blackberries while exploring. Also, the hot tub was clean and ready to go...an amazing way to relax after each long day of packing and moving furniture!

Beautiful spot near Blowing Rock

I spent one night here with my son and it was a great experience. It’s a super location-you feel out in the country, but you’re actually close to Blowing Rock. The host had excellent communication and everything was clean and worked well. Would definitely recommend.
