GET BACK TO NATURE and experience the peaceful atmosphere with peek a boo view of Lake Talquin. Over 1/2 an acre with RV hookup in case you want to bring your friends along! House sleeps 5. Fully fenced yard so your pets and kids can play. Soak in the Hot Tub or experience the "Soul Mending" garden with lights, water feature and firepit. All the outdoor spaces allow you to enjoy evenings outside. Screened and open porch with charcoal grill. Very private. Public Boat ramp 3 minutes away. Pat Thomas Park 10 minutes away and you can fish off the dock, launch your boat or picnic at the open tables or pavillion!! Also one of the finest seafood restaurants in the area, Country Boys Restaurant, is just 1 minute away.

Continently located not far from I10 had the rv hookup which was what we needed the most for your car trailer. Nice big area for the dogs to run. Kim was great at responding and answering any questions I had.

I had a great stay at Cozy Bluegill Cottage. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The host was responsive and made everything easy from check-in to checkout. The atmosphere was peaceful. Overall, a really enjoyable stay and I’d definitely come back.

10/10 would not recommend. I don’t normally leave a negative review because everyone can have an off day but… dirty dishes in cabinet, mold in shower, smells musty/moldy, floors soft and spongy like they’re rotting underneath, water left in the coffee pot, vanity not attached to the wall, and TVs not working in bedrooms. Some of these items were listed by previous guests but then there were positive reviews after that so I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt.

The host was very accommodating and pleasant. The location as well as the property itself were lovely. Was a nice break from the city. The whole place had a very cozy and relaxed environment. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get away and relax.

Adorable little cabin! Host showed up and spent a couple hours trying to figure out the TV’s, the day before Thanksgiving! Will definitely stay here again next visit to Florida.

Property was dirty, bedding and towels were very worn. Mold around tub in bathroom. Needs some maintenance and deep cleaning, some updating. House felt very dusty and moldy. Televisions were near impossible to work and remotes were everywhere. There was a guest book with some information, but lacking important info. I personally have rental property as well and have a feel for details that can make a big difference . Property was pet friendly and they do have a nice yard for your pet, along with an RV hook up for those with RV’s. Lake was very close by. The place has potential for those wanting a lake/fishing getaway but it needs a lot of repairs, painting, and major clean up before I would be able to recommend.

Clean property in a very quiet place. The hot tub was a nice added value. We did not use it, but the RV hookup is a great addition.

Property needs some love. Does not look like listing photos. Yard full of dirt and ant hills. Fence was falling over when you try to shut it. Interior of home was not the cleanest. Shower smelled of mold and was not clean. Check in was easy.

My best friend and I needed a nice quiet place to getaway. This was great. Our dogs were happy there as well.

Perfect getaway

Went on a little weekend trip to visit my sister and found this place online. Loved that I was able to bring my dog and he had a big yard to roam around! We had a great time and loved the place. We made s’mores by the fire pit and spent a night in the hot tub. Overall the stay was perfect for us.

The host was very nice and responsive. The home itself I believe is over priced for what is offered. The beds were not very comfortable, and the pictures on the listing are not what the property actually looks like in the interior. The bathroom did not feel very clean due to the old shower/curtain etc.

Wonderful stay at the Cozy Bluegill Cottage

We took our two grandkids with us for a trip during spring break. So glad we decided to stay at the Cozy Bluegill Cottage. The cottage is located on a private lot. We especially loved the coffee bar, hot tub, and gorgeous fireplace. The grandkids loved the fairy garden and the complementary snack box. The host is very gracious.

Great yard!!

Loved the fenced in yard. House was nice, but a little small. Only negative thing was the sand/dirt. It was hard to keep the hot tub and house clean.

Lake Talquin is 8,850-acres in size and hosts Fishing Tournaments or just a peaceful ride around the Lake. Only 30 minutes from Tallahassee if you want to attend a FSU or FAMU Football Game, have a night of dinner and dancing, visit the Museum of Florida History or, in March, the Museum Of History & Natural Science explodes with the sounds of the Jazz and Blues Festival!! Springtime Tallahassee is also a beautiful time of year with all the flowers in bloom and parade! Antique shopping in Havana can make for a fun day as well!!1 There is something for everyone in our area!

This home allows you to GET AWAY FROM YOUR BUSY SCHEDULE and breath the fresh air and listen to the song nature will sing to you every day and night! You will leave feeling rested and renewed!!
