Charming renovated guesthaus in the heart of Historic Hermann.

WILLKOMMEN-
Built in 1876, this charming second floor guesthaus was once the home of the town's pharmacist & his family. After a full renovation in 2023, updated luxuries were added while historic building charm was uncovered. A few steps from Amtrak station & trolley stop, & a short walk to many local distilleries and wineries.

The whole house is included in the booking. There are three sleeping rooms available. The primary bedroom has a king bed with private shower suite, including two large vanities. Two guest rooms have queen beds, with a shared large shower suite with private bathroom. The large living room is plenty of space for your party to gather around for a game of cards. A full kitchen has an oversized island with bar seating as well as a breakfast table overlooking the Missouri Riverfront. Guests have access to a large private deck overlooking the Missouri River, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine after a long day.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Apothecary Guesthaus in Hermann! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a thoughtful, welcoming layout. Everything felt high-end—from the furniture and bedding to the towels, shampoo, and conditioner. Stacey was wonderful and gave great recommendations for shops and restaurants, which made the trip even better. The location couldn’t be more perfect, right in the heart of Hermann. We truly loved everything about my stay and will definitely be returning!

First time in Hermann and the host were absolutely amazing! They had us a bottle of wine and some treats waiting for us when we got there and everything was within walking distance! We will definitely be back and will definitely be staying here again!

The Apothecary Guesthaus is an absolute gem! First, the architecture, finishes and decor are top notch! Beautiful, warm, and inviting. The furnishings are all super comfortable and cozy. Bathrooms and kitchen brand new and finished beautifully. The location can’t be beat. The back of the house looks directly over the river and has a lovely deck where you can sit in the evenings. The front of the house overlooks the Main Street. Awesome coffee shop directly across the street. The entry door is situated between two shops and can be easy to miss at first. Parking is a non-issue. You can park directly in front of the front door, or alongside the building.WE LOVED STAYING HERE!!That all being said, there are a few things to be aware of. First, it IS above two shops (they close at 5pm, so never a noise issue AT ALL), and is on the main drag. There will be traffic noise, even at night. And the street lights aren’t joking around. The master bedroom is well lit the entire night. If you like to sleep dark and quiet, bring a sleep mask and white noise machine. The bedrooms have curtains that are sheer. Offer some privacy but don’t block out light. And you will hear trains all day and night, as the tracks are between the house and the river. Not a deterrent for us, but worth mentioning. Not handicap-friendly, though. Twenty-four steep stairs to get in and out.

Celebrating my 60th in Hermann

This home is ideal for your visit to Hermann. Great location, walking distance to everything, trolley available for off site wineries. No driving necessary. The renovations are beautiful and it's a very large home to share with family and friends.

Friends Weekend

This place is amazing! Just as great as it was advertised to be. Stacey and her family were so easy to work with and accommodating with our group. This property is perfectly located in downtown Hermann and is just steps away from all our favorite places. We will definitely be back!

Daughter’s 21st Birthday Family Celebration

Our family spent the weekend celebrating our daughter’s 21st birthday 🥳! I had mention this to Stacey (owner) months ago when I made the reservation. We walk into the (most beautiful) apartment/home and there were two big shiny “21” balloons floating above the kitchen table! Such a thoughtful surprise! The home is absolutely amazing and every single corner has receive a special touch (so much TLC). We had a wonderful time and I will be back! Oh and the back deck overlooking the river was such a nice treat for coffee ☕️ talk each morning. Thank you Stacey and Jordan!

Perfect EVERYTHING!

This space was very well thought out and my friends and I raved about it the entire stay. It is beautifully decorated and has an amazing layout that makes it feel very spacious. We especially appreciated the layout of bathrooms and areas to get ready. The location downtown is perfect - we parked our car out back and didn't move it the entire weekend. It is near the train station and trolley pick up station. We loved being able to walk around downtown for shopping and dinner and the ease of catching the trolley to head out to wineries. We also enjoyed the wine left by the owner out on the deck overlooking the river. Thank you for a wonderful space to spend our girls weekend - we will definitely be back!

Best girls trip ever!!!

My bestie lives in south TX and came to visit me for the weekend. We’ve travelled to a lot of places - Fredericksburg, TX; San Antonio; LA; Chicago; Naples, FL… etc. etc. I recently moved to Wentzville from the OKC metro and my bestie came to visit for the first time. We stayed at the Apothecary Guesthaus for the weekend and it was perfect! So much space!! Best location!!! Walking distance to SO many places! We had the best time. The house was beautifully decorated. We had all we needed including laundry, a full kitchen with amazing coffee, a deck where we could sit with a glass of wine and watch the river…. It was perfect!!! We’ll definitely be back!!
